Studio Reader Stan pays a visit to Ms. Pantsworth, one of the studio executives he reads scripts for.

Studio Reader Stan enters Ms. Pantsworth�s office at Demure Studios.

Studio Reader Stan: Ms. Pantsworth, I just read that Demure Studios bought that book, �The Librarian.�

Ms. Pantsworth: That�s right. It was my decision. I just love seeing my name in
"Variety."

Studio Reader Stan: But when I recommended the screenplay to you about six months ago, you rejected it flatly.

Ms. Pantsworth: That�s because I didn�t want to have to read it. I hate reading movie scripts.

Studio Reader Stan: But...you�re a maker of movies...which come from movie scripts.

Ms. Pantsworth: Yeah, that used to be a problem. But now none of us actually read scripts anymore. It�s quite liberating.

Studio Reader Stan: Well, as insane as that is, at least you still read books.

Ms. Pantsworth: Not really. I listen to them on tape when I do Yoga. The only things I actually read anymore are wine menus.

Studio Reader Stan: But the book you bought is about a librarian who inspires a whole new generation of readers.

Ms. Pantsworth: Yeah, we�re changing that part of it. The librarian now inspires a whole new generation of racecar drivers. Cars are hot right now.

Studio Reader Stan: But that makes no sense. She�s a librarian.

Ms. Pantsworth: It doesn�t need to make sense, Studio Reader Stan. It just needs to do well overseas.

Studio Reader Stan leaves, demoralized.
