Studio Reader Stan pays a visit to his literary agent, which he'll regret.
Studio Reader Stan waits in his agent, Mischa Broom’s, waiting room. Sitting near him is a guy, bronzed heavily by a tanner, who checks his hair in a little handheld mirror.
Studio Reader Stan: Are you one of Mischa’s writers, also?
Lars: No, I’m her fiancé. And a model. My name’s Lars, but I like being called “The Bronze.”
Studio Reader Stan: My name’s Larry. And I like being called Larry... Mischa’s my agent.
Lars: Really? She never mentions you.
Studio Reader Stan: That might be because she thinks my name is Studio Reader Stan.
Lars: Oh yeah, now I’ve heard of you.
Studio Reader Stan: Does she talk about my writing?
Lars: No. She said you were the one she got to clean out her garage. Thanks, ‘cause otherwise I might have had to do it. And I can’t risk something falling on this face.
Studio Reader Stan: That would be a tragedy... So where do you model?
Lars: In front of a mirror.
Studio Reader Stan: I meant professionally. Where someone gives you a paycheck.
Lars: I do get a paycheck. From Mischa.
Studio Reader Stan: She pays you to model in front of the mirror?
Lars: And sometimes in the backyard.
Studio Reader Stan: That’s more of an allowance than a paycheck.
Lars: Does not that mean I can get away with not paying taxes on it?
Studio Reader Stan: You may want to consult an accountant about that, Lars.
Lars: (correcting) The Bronze.
Studio Reader Stan suddenly has far less confidence in his agent, which wasn’t that high to begin with.
