I feel empowered and I'm taking my victories where I can get them
Productivity is correct.
Considering how many unread, unopened and unwanted emails I had before I decided to address the issue and sort through everything and eliminate
what I long needed to get rid of granted it was a two to three day process...allowing for me watching March Maddess...the task is well underhand
Now I’m thinking with all the success I’ve had with this endeavor that I should run for national office
Who else can say they can actually control their e-mail “in box”
Can running the country be any harder than that??????
In fact, a few days ago my “inbox” held nearly two thousand unwanted, unread and undeleted messages
But today my total emails are more in the range of 600
Rumor has it that taxes, divorce, expensive cable and death might be unavoidable, but I can assure you email clutter is at least somewhat manageable
We might have to navigate miles a d light years of red tape in life and continually wonder why fate and prayers are mysteries that only God knows
But email clutter is a circumstance we can actually gamify and control in an immediate manner.

Strange that you should write this just when I was going through the same thing and haven't quite finished yet.
Almost every website sells information to list makers who sell our email addresses and information to websites that might be of need of them. We can't stop that process but we can manage it, like you wrote. What happens if you buy something, you are immediately labeled as a fan of that kind of product that you ordered. Sellers pick up on this information and start sending email offers.
I was told once that if you "unsubscribed" from a emailing source, you only verified that your email address was good for further spamming. But yesterday, I wrote to a website that acts as a hub for a certain class of emails. The owner wrote me back, promptly and told me that I had to unsubscribe or I would continue to get unsolicited emails. And, he had no control over them--he lied?
Truly nasty emails I immediately divert to junk. The others, well meaning, but asking for money every day, I unsubscribe. But I have to be continually vigilant because for every single unsolicited email source that I eliminate, two more appear.
It certainly is wonderful to only get email from those I want to get email from. Like people from AD. I get two or three of those a day and appreciate it. Try to answer all of those I can.
