I wrote this little flash story a long time ago, and it served as inspiration for my upcoming short novella of the same title, to be released in the near future.
In The Heat Of Battle

Michelle was on a mission of war. She had chosen her weapons carefully, and researched her enemies' weaknesses. Now, her target was within striking distance. All that was left was to take her victory.
"I hope you enjoyed yourself." She purred to her prey, as they sat in the intimate bistro.
"Mmm..." Was the woman's reply, as she slowly finished her glass of cool white wine.
Michelle took the glass, letting her fingers linger over those of her victim's. Heat pulsed through her, searing her nerve endings. The sensation shook her to her core. She couldn't allow herself to become distracted. The time to strike was only moments away.
At ten exactly Michelle took her prize. Leaning close to the sultry brunette, she brushed her mouth against the womans lips.
She hardly noticed her ex-boyfriend entering the restaurant, she nearly forgot about her mission. As the woman who had stolen her man opened her lips and pulled their bodies together, passion burned her senses.
Her plan had been so simple, steal the woman from the man who had been stolen from her. Well, maybe peace was better than war she reasoned as the three walked out of the restaurant, bodies intertwined.
