In the time of my captivity, I endured much, Pain and loss. I was hurt and deceived. I was disobedient, and rebelled. In the time of my captivity I discovered freedom, freedom from the chains of life, all the things meant to hold me down, but only God can take a punishment and turn it into an astonishment. Lifting you up from all the cares and brightening your outlook. Not minding where you have been only where you can go! Separating you from loved ones and taking you to out country to dwell in another space. He talks to you all the while he shows you things you always missed. The things you stumbled over were there for you to experience, Something about them to stir your spiritual eyes to open. Yet we missed it. Our ways are not a joy to his heart. Patiently he waits. In the mean while he crafts a miracle for someone else. He looks up to see you stumble and reaches out to catch you. Captivity seems like such a warm and inviting place. Who wants to go into the unknown. After all that would mean trusting someone besides ourselves,  in the time of my captivity I found that surrender was a good thing, cause it meant I could let someone who knew me guide me in the ways about me, that I did not know. Who knew what I would do and wouldn’t. How to get me to places I had never been. In the time of my captivity, I learned that tests and trials were actually spiritual tune ups, to keep my spirit and soul running on all cylinders the way God meant it to be. That way my life could be the light that he always spoke of. In the time of my captivity, I found that I am a prisoner of Christ and I would not have it any other way!
