When the children of Israel were in the desert, God sent them the Manna as food. The Israelites gathered the Manna and kept some for the next day. The next day the Manna was rotten. The children of Israel complained to Moses. What kind of God is that, who sends us Manna which rots? Moses heard the complaint and went to Mont Sinai to relate the unhappiness of his people to the Almighty. The latter observed Moses from afar, while he was walking towards him with a lot of pain. When Moses arrived in front of the burning fire he quickly regretted that he took this unworthy task.
God told Moses: “I know why you came here. Are you not ashamed to come to me with such a question? Tell my people that if I could send the Manna yesterday, do they doubt that I can do it today?” Moses felt embarrassed and returned to the people with his head downwards.
Too often mankind expects more and more gifts, without showing gratefulness for what has already been given.
As in history past, we want more and more.

Amen to Georg's comments... I do think that it does say something about Moses that he was embarrassed by the whole thing... walking with his head down... :~)
We are definitely a doubting people... rather sad when you consider all that we have truly been given by God.
It is not the story of Thomas repeating itself again and again?
Why man have the penchant to analyze everything and afterwards don't believe the results in case they are flawed?
I wonder why God have such patience with a bunch of ungrateful children.
