In his attempt to seal-off the military crime scene and prevent an intrusion Michael failed to detect the threat: 

One airborne drone dances lazily overhead as if to balance itself to get a good clean vectored shot at Michael.

The other a ground drone approaches him like a lone snarling wolf ready to bite his head off.

"I've got to cut that wire Sir--- it's my job."

"Otherwise, this will signal those insurgents to begin their insider attack," answered Michael.
