When I met my husband, his first words to me were, "You are so beautiful! I want to marry you!" - Then he waited out there in the mall 'til the time I got off work. (I was working part-time as a waitress in a burger place which I don't remember the name of that place now)
I was happy to see him there. We talked like old friends even though we didn't know much about each other. We didn't even get to know each other first; we only knew we were in love. Every time we met, he bugged me, told me how much he loved me and urged me to marry him.
"Let's get a marriage licence," he finally came up with this scheme and said, "It will only be valid for three months anyway, and within three months, we can either get married or let it pass, and the licence will become invalid if you decide not to marry me."
And so, we did just that. We got married within three months!!!
I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES, SANDIE, BUT...BEST OF ALL I LOVE THE WONDERFUL LOVE STORY THAT YOU'VE SHARED. I BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT...EVEN IF IT'S ONLY ONE SIDED. To say that he was smitten is an understatement! I can see that he had a very kind face and that's why you both got along so well. After 20 years of being a part since high school, my wife and I fell in love while dancing to the Beatles at our reunion. We were married within six months. Unfortunately, homesickness had my wife falling out of love within three years. My partner and I just blended together when she came to care for me with a few chores and stayed for a lot more.
Made me think that maybe I should have picked up her subtle clues about marriage when Margaret Ma, whose Johns Hopkins educated medical doctor father owned a city block residence in Taipei and was studying for her master's degree in rehabilitation and working in our department where I was an instructor. I didn't and she married someone at Ohio State where she studied for her doctorate.
wow! i am in love with your love story. your husband is a great guy. i'm kinda going crazy on how sure he was and still is to be with you, but in a good way. :) you are so lucky, Sandie, and you deserve it. you are beautiful and your husband is one handsome gentleman.
