When It All Comes Crashing Down

The news conference was held at the Diamonds Stadium press room for the reintroduction of newly hired co assistant general manager and team field manager Bill Falstaf. The Philadelphia Diamonds team owner Franklin Metscher introduced Bill Falstaf. Also appearing at the press conference was the new vice president and general manager Stuart Spencer and co assistant general manager Nate Rudancyk and it would mark a homecoming for both Nate and Bill. 

When the sports reporters were allowed to ask questions, sportscaster Mason Henry who was a thorn in the side of team management asked Bill Falstaff why he choose to return to the Diamonds, his response was that he could have have always stayed with the Washington Eagles but he has always been interested in rebuilding struggling teams into contenders and the challenge to prove that he could do just that. Bill Falstaf said that his managerial record spoke for itself, especially that he was voted “Manager Of The Year” 5 times in stops in 1979 at Washington, in 1985 at New York, in 1992 once again at Washington, in 1995 here in Philadelphia and in 2001 at Baltimore.
