If they knew what I had done until then, they would have in mind all the time the fascists suffering for sure.

 Hospital IV

So you finally confessed, Santiago the psychiatrist said. Well, I said, you know many people like company. When declaring one is single he or she has some idea of the necessity of sharing their life.

Santiago the psychiatrist listened. Alfonso the Humanist suddenly stood up and went to the main room and said to everyone to pay attention to him. He then asked the group of almost all girls Do you know that Leopoldo is looking for a Humanist girlfriend? Be careful, he says he wouldn’t resist a look of acceptance.

The group of almost all girls laughed merrily. Well, I said standing up and going after him, it’s not like that to be exact… So it means you won’t flirt with me?, asked to me the more beautiful laughing in a good mood and with her hand at her waist. This girl made me laugh so much I couldn’t stop laughing and all the others laughed in contagion…

… Santiago interrupted me. It must’ve been a funny event to remember. I don’t know how it went later, he said, but you must be careful not to tell everything I know about you until now as if it is a normal circumstance. The situation is under your control, I know, I can see. You have surpassed the capacity of anybody to argue against you. I have always told you, he went on, that I believed all the actions you had been involved in. I know it will be sooner or later but some day Revolution will be spreading everywhere. Do you understand why I said about being careful?, he finished saying.

Of course, I do. I won’t be buying more fake guns to make noise in Madrid’s streets. I shall try to let it be and keep on being soldier.

I’ve been told, Leopoldo, you have a physiologist session in half an hour more or less. Can I say to you something whatever it is? I smiled to him and said: Let’s see.

Don't place your hand on the bed’s border. Please, don't do it, you must not, Santiago said to me like intriguing and sharing laughter.

Don't worry. I have experienced it for the first time 15 days ago down here, in this hospital.
