Dear Kendra~
Great news on the home front! I am sooo relieved that you aren't going to lose your home or your children; that is FANTABULOUS news!
But alas, my world is tinged with sadness...I am sure you have heard from Audrey Jackson in Colton County, Mississippi, and all the hell that she has been through. I last heard from her the other day, but then I found out (from you) that her husband, Jack, has smashed her computer, and now her life (and the lives of her daughters, ages 3, 5, and 7) may be in grave danger. It's as though she has disappeared from the face of the earth; but just a little while ago I heard from a Deborah Alexander in Mississippi, who informed me that Audrey Jackson was critically injured in a car accident and is now fighting for her life in the hospital.
I just wrote to Deborah, and I am waiting to hear from her now; I am half afraid to see what she will say to me next. She was asking me if I could be so kind in taking her kids in, but Kendra, I have fifty-two children NOW, and it is hard for me to try to handle them, let alone try to watch other kids! Now, I am NOT complaining, but I think I may have gone off the deep end in our adopting so many kids; I don't know what I was thinking; but when God tells me to do something like this, I CANNOT argue with Him! So there you go!
I DID offer to pay for a hotel room for the girls and for Deborah while the girls' mother recovers in the hospital, and I am praying that she makes it. I also heard that she had been pregnant with Jack's child, and she lost the child that she was carrying. So more sadness. I don't know how one person can endure so much hell in her life; it makes one wonder just how much a person can really take before they snap! I have been praying and crying all morning since hearing from Deborah, and my kids are aware that something big is going on. Just yesterday I slapped my daughter Ronee' across the face when she kept asking me what was going on, and I bit my son Johnny's head off, and now I am sure that they are still a little angry with me for overreacting like I did. I also haven't been talking much to my husband, and he is concerned about me too. I don't know what is going on with me, but it is scaring the living hell out of me!
Be praying for me; I can really use them about now...I will write more, but right now I can't hardly see for all the tears that are raining from my bloodshot eyes...take care, and God bless you and your family!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May Sandusky. :( >tears<
