Dear Journal~
Hey, it's me, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux! I hope this finds you well! I am okay, but I am still worried about Johnny and Rebekkah Rachel Cohen. Johnny's muscular dystrophy is getting worse, and Rebekkah had to have her leg amputated because the infection she had was only getting worse, and it was making her sicker. I wonder if she had necrotizing fasciitis or something like that...when I heard the news, I cried!
I will have to send Rebekkah a letter of encouragement as well as a get-well card! (I will also have to do the same for Johnny; after all, he is my brother! I feel so bad for him!!)
I had fun at the St. Paddy's Day celebration last week. I got to sing and play my Cajun accordion, and I also porked out on Irish food. YUMMO! There were many people there, and they all had a wonderful time like me.
I am happy; I found out that my friend in Finland, Sari Constantinos, and her husband, Nikolas, are having a baby girl (well, Sari is, NOT Nikolas!). They are all happy and excited, and I am happy for them! I also found out that my friend in Alaska, Jenna Aurora Doucet, and HER husband, Michael, are having a boy; it is the first child for both! I also found out that my sister, Lightning, who lives in Colorado with her family, is pregnant with a girl; this will be her second daughter! Babies, babies, lots of babies everywhere! I am happy for them all! I hope and pray that all the babies are born healthy!
I am over my flare; I didn't end up in the hospital, thank the Lord; but I was still plenty enough sick to say the least. I did miss some days of school, and the assignments I missed are now caught up, and I am now sittin' pretty with my classmates! I hate it whenever I get behind!! GRR!
I ought to have fun for my Social Studies assignment: we have to do a report on one of the fifty states, and I chose Alaska. Seeing that I have been there once already (soon to be twice com October, when we go on our cruise!), I have plenty of experience to glean on, and I also can talk to Jenna and Sikik for help if I get stuck, and they can give me valuable information! I know I am gonna' ace this sucker for sure! :) (I love easy assignments!)
The weather is good here; it rained all day yesterday, and I am not hurting nearly as bad today. Today it is sunny, but I can't enjoy it until recess because until lunch and then recess, I am stuck inside this school building, taking classes. Hopefully I won't get nailed with beaucoup homework so I can't enjoy my weekend!
We are starting to work on our Easter Cantata. I am slated to sing another solo; I can't decide between "Washed In The Blood" or "The Old Rugged Cross". I will have to discuss it with our music director, to see what she thinks. Both are good though, and both are appropriate for the Easter Season! After all, isn't Easter more about the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour than Easter bunnies, chocolate eggs, and Easter egg hunts, hmmm???
