Dear Journal~

Hi! Jenna Aurora Doucet here.  Just woke up not even ten minutes ago; trying to get my brain in gear.

Husband and children still asleep; "Aurora" lying like a heavy lump beside me; she's dreaming; she's twitching all over.  Guess she's dreaming about chasing cats. LOL

Silly dog!

Weather cold here (what else is new??), starting to warm up somewhat; days are starting to become longer.  Auroras out in full force tonight, pretty to see/watch.

I am doing pretty good; have my bad days, as well as my good ones.  Some days I can do things for myself; others, I need assistance, tend to feel sorry for myself, depressed. 

My paralyzed body is nothing but an ongoing battle; often wish I could go back to how I was prior to the accident that changed my life almost three years ago. (Or was it two?? I can't remember!! Yargggg!!!)

Add fibro and MS to it, then you have one mell of a hess! NOT fun!!

I'm not even fifty yet, and I'm fallin' apart at the seams!!

I finally got approved for my disability; will be getting a check for $2,000 every month starting next month.  That will help out a lot, especially with these darned gas prices.  Inching up towards four dollars a gallon; seems the prices change every time we go by the stupid gas station! It's crazy!!

Pretty soon only the very rich can afford to go out, have cars! 

Glad we aren't looking for a house; the housing market is the shitz, if you know what I mean!  It's a bad time for the U.S. economy; it can't compete against the Euro!

Wonder how we can stop the Euro.....

Something drastic has got to be done--and quickly!!

I'm tired of all the bad news lately....

This weekend my friend Sikik Eegeesiak is coming to spend the weekend with us.  She's finally dug out of the snow that's covered her part of the world; she's ready to get out.  Guess even she's got a bad case of cabin fever!

Sikik says she's stayed inside as it's been too cold, even for her!  And she's pure Inuit! LOL  Guess it's cold when even an Inuit can't stand the frigid temperatures! LOL

We are looking forward to "Auntie" Sikik's visit.  I know Mattaq is; he just adores her.  She'll also get to meet the newest Doucet child, little Kenai, who is now five months old--and as cute as a bug!

It will be fun to have Sikik around!  She's always so happy! (Ever since I've known her, that is!)

We have a cat now: got her at the animal shelter--a Norwegian Forest cat, eight months old, just adorable!  "Aurora", our dog, isn't so sure what to make of this little hissing, furry beast!  We have named the cat "Hisser" because that's all she does! LOL  Maybe once she gets used to us, we'll change her name; until then she's known as "Hisser". LOL

Well, I am going to go back to sleep until Michael wakes me up or one of the babies (or the dog) do (whichever comes first).  I will write in here again another time.  Take care and God bless!
