Cedar Point, the amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, has managed to outdo itself once again when it comes to building thrill rides--and this is AFTER they built "Millennium Force," the world's first "giga-coaster" (310' of sheer white-knuckle terror!).
This year, they have managed to put "a new twist on things," figuratively speaking. They have just opened a new concept in roller coasters: the world's first "vertical impulse double twisting coaster". There are twin towers with twisting, tubular tracks, and the cars are inverted--that is, they are situated under the track itself, and your feet are left dangling freely. Like ski-lift type chairs. You go from 0 to 72 mph--in just a little OVER 2 measly seconds. You then get shot out of the station and go twisting up the one tower (twisting and turning as you do so), then go BACKWARDS, back THROUGH the station, and go up the other tower, in reverse (again, twisting and turning all the while!). You do this several times during the duration of the ride.
By the time you get off, you feel like you have probably spent time in a blender. Your brains are so scrambled up by this time you don't know which end is up. Or down.
And you don't know if you can manage to walk without falling down.
GREAT. JUST WHAT I NEED TO KNOW. I walk with a crutch. My balance isn't that great anyway--HOW IN THE WORLD AM I GONNA' MANAGE AFTER RIDING "WICKED TWISTER"??????????
I watched a video of "Wicked Twister" "in action", and I WANNA' RIDE!!!!!! It KIND of reminded me of "Raptor", except you go up, back down, and go backwards (YIPE!!), and then go forward again.
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!!....
But--I'm willing to try it, even if it IS only once.
(I have ridden "Raptor"[numerous times; it's a GAS!!], and I've even ridden a "hyper-coaster" ["Magnum XL-200; 210' tall], and
I have ridden "Power Tower" with little [or few] problems--I'm SURE I can handle riding "Wicked Twister"!!!!)
