Harmonie Faith Eckles is a little pistol, according to her family, in particular, her mamma.  There is absolutely nothing this little wunderkind can't do!

At six years old, Harmonie Faith could be a deadringer for little singer, Connie Talbot:  both have the same big, brown eyes, the same round-cheeked face, and the same long, blonde hair, bangs hanging down above their eyes.

She does love to sing, but she'd much rather play with her big brother, Rockey (ten) and her little sister, Taryn, who is four.  She'd also rather go to school:  she is super smart, much to the delight of her family.

Harmonie has some differences, though, and people see this when first spotting her.  She wears braces on her legs, and walks with a wheeled walker (or forearm crutches for short distances); on longer treks, such as to the zoo, store, or amusement park, she uses her wheelchair, which is a snazzy harvest orange in color.

Harmonie was born three months early, a tiny peanut of a thing, weighing just one pound, one ounce at birth.  She wasn't expected to survive; however, God had other plans.  He let her live--but not without the stamp of cerebral palsy, which has affected her lower limbs (hence, the braces, crutches, or wheelchair).

Like most kids, Harmonie loves to play, have fun.  She also enjoys school, learning about the world around her, annoying her brother and sister, watching television (she adores the show "Hannah Montana"; she also adores "America's Got Talent"; in fact, she wants to be like the little girl who was on last year, then- four-year-old Kaitlyn Ashley Mayer, who made it up to the top ten before being eliminated).  If she can't be a mommy or a teacher, she'd love to be a singer instead.

In addition to the above interests, Harmonie is a voracious reader:  she can read just about anything she can get her little hands on.  She also loves to draw, play pretend, play on the computer, and play jacks, as well as swim.

Harmonie lives with her family in Utica, New York.  She is in the first grade at Utica Elementary; she is one of her teacher's favorite students.  She does well in all of her classes; her family is very proud at how much she's accomplished during her short tenure as elementary school student.

People may think that she can't do much because of her physical disabilities; however, they have another thing coming, especially when they see Harmonie swinging from the jungle gym like a little monkey, see her swimming in the pool, or see her riding her specially-made bicycle with the hand pedals.  They also delight in hearing her sing; at six years old, Harmonie's voice is pure, natural, on pitch.

She can teach the world a thing or two about perserverance, courage, and determination:  it may take her longer, but if she sees to it, she will do anything she sets her mind to--and she usually does, with reckless abandon! 

She may be physically disabled; however, there is absolutely nothing "disabled" about her spirit or will!
