Johnathon is dreaming about a new computer for Christmas.

Dear Journal~

I'm dreamin' of a new computer for Christmas.  The one I have now is dying: screen went bright green on me; hard to see (and I have more'n enough trouble seeing now without  help!!).  That is why I haven't been online since November 29, almost three weeks ago.

Johnny here.  Hope this finds you doing well.  I'm doing okay, all things considering, but I'd be doing better if I had my computer the way it was!!  I have so much news inside of me it's a wonder I don't burst!!

I'm typing this on mama's computer before I go to school.  I hope she doesn't mind; daddy said it was okay, so there you go.

We have our Cantata on Sunday.  I won't be singing, but I will still be a huge part of it.  I will be doing the sign language for the deaf members (or visitors) who come to see the Cantata.  I will be on side of the stage the whole time.  I don't have to worry about screwing up; I am very fluent in ASL.  Had to learn it when my own hearing went *pfft* and when Mario, who is deaf and mute, came to our family when he was little.  Had no choice.

In any event, I really have no complaints.  My MD has been behaving itself (for the most part).  I still don't like people having to help me or having to wake 'em up every two hours so I can be turned over.  At least my respirator isn't nearly as sensitive as it used to be.  I can get through a good part of the day without tripping it, which is always a good thing!  :)

School is going quite well:  no complaints there either.  I am so glad I got the extra help when I did, or else I'd still be struggling through all my classes; it'd be like being surrounded by a bunch of hungry man-eating sharks!!  *cringe*

I just wish my computer didn't go green screen on me.  Now it looks more like the green screen you see when the weatherman (or lady) does his/her reports on the news!  It really is annoying!  Oh, I can do things on it, but it's just too.  Danged.  Hard.  To.  See!!!!

The only time I ever get to use the computer now is when I go to the library's for Computer Class.  And that's one hour a day!  *GRRRR*

I'm sure people thought I must have died.  Well, I am not dead; otherwise, I wouldn't be typing this down.  :/  I am very much alive!

This past Sunday, our church had its Christmas party.  I had a blast!!  I tried to sing, but no go.  Darn respirator makes it hard to sing or hold my breath.  GRRRR!!  I just sat and visited with my friends, plus stuff myself with Mexican burritos, tacos, and German chocolate cake!  Yummm!!!!

I did get a door prize though:  a $75.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble Booksellers.  I know where I'm going after Christmas ....  Get myself some books .... (he says, singing)  *grins*

Some of the members entertained the crowd; they did good as always.  Ronee' was among them; she of course, did great.  I still get jealous of her because she still can perform and I can't.  Major bummer!!  Jealous??  Yes.  I'll admit it!!  Danged ol' disease; how I hate it!!!  BAH the humbug!!!!

Last Sunday, the children at church had their Christmas play, "Christmas Hangups".  It was cute; makes me wish I were a kid again.  Not so young anymore.  Seventeen the day after Christmas.  Time to be thinking about where I want to go to college or what I want to do for the rest of my life.  Maybe I'll become a computer programmer or perhaps a sign language interpreter.  I'd be good at either field, I think.

I'd still like to get married to Rebekkah; she and I have been seeing a lot of each other.  She's doing great; I pray it continues!  I am so blessed to have her in my life!

I hope I get that computer for Christmas; that way, I can write a lot more than I've been doing lately.  I have been wanting to write but due to mitigating circumstances, I've been unable to until now.  I hope you understand; now you know why you haven't heard from me, the Johnster!

It's been a royal pain in my behind!!

Well,  I gotta get ready for school.  I will write in here again (hopefully before Christmas, but I doubt that's ever gonna happen).  So on that note, let me be among the first to wish you a very happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!  Pray I get that computer; I miss my Internet, not to mention, writing and my games!!!!  I hate having to cut my time on the computer just because my stupid computer screen decided to go greenage on me!!

Take care and God bless you!

~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Johnathon.  :/
