Hello from Bangor, Maine!!

In case you don't know who I am, my name is Calvin R. Johnson.  I wrote in here once before.  I am eight-and-a-half years old.  I will be nine in two months, in February.  My birthday is on February 22nd.

It is very cold here, not to mention, very snowy.  No worries: I can stay warm by staying indoors and playing with Starla (she's my sister; she'll be 12 next week) and my dog, "Toby", who is very old and has stinky breath.  He is an English bulldog, very fat and very lazy, too.  I love him; he's my best buddy!

Monday starts Christmas break.  We will be out of school for over two weeks.  Good! I can't wait; I don't like getting up before it gets light outside!  And I don't like standing outside in the cold and snow! I can't wait for summer; I've already had it with this cold, snowy weather!

Maybe I can talk Daddy and Linda (my step-mom; I call her "Mama" most times) into moving to Florida, where it's warm all year round!  I'd love it!!

That way, I can wear shorts and play baseball to my heart's content!  I would be very happy there! :)

We are ready for Christmas.  I can't wait!!  I have been trying awful' hard to be a good boy, so I can get presents.  Know that Santa Claus ain't real (stopped believing in him when I was seven; I was so sad, too, when I found out that Santa Claus is a lie!), but I still like the excitement of wondering what I will get for Christmas! I just hope I don't get clothes or underwear again!  I want something REALLY cool, like more Transformers, Army men, or maybe a new game for my Wii!!

Next Sunday, at Mass, we kids at St. Heart Catholic Church will do our annual Christmas program.  I will be playing the part of Joseph, Mary's husband.  So I have one of the starring roles and will be on stage most of the time.  I know all my lines, but I'm scared I'll mess up or do something stupid, like sneeze or forget what I'm supposed to say or fall down.  

That would be embarrassing!  I would hate for the audience to laugh at me!!

Today, Dadddy, Mama, and Starla will put the tree up.  I will be playing in my room the whole time.  I don't like putting up the tree; it's a pain and it's too high for me to reach the top, where the angel (or star) goes!  But it will be nice to see it once the lights and decorations have been put on it!

Then I know Christmas IS almsot here!! Yay for Christmas!!!!

For Christmas, we are going to my grandma's and gee-pa's house if the weather isn't too nasty out.  If not, then we'll stay here.  I hope we can go to Gee-Pa's and Grandma's house; Grandma bakes the best cookies and cakes and Gee-Pa tells the best stories!  I just love them both so much!!

Well, I am going to go back to bed.  If Mama or Daddy knew I was on the computer already at five in the morning, I would be grounded for a year!  They don't like us kids getting on the computer before nine in the morning, but I had to write, to let you know what was going on.  It's been a while since I last wrote: it was nearly a year ago when I wrote the last time!! Too long!
