Class, I know your minds are probably full of answers or how you are going to do on the test today, but first, I want to say a few things.  I hope you don't mind.

First of all, all you can do is try and do your best.  I am not asking for perfection.  Just take some deep breaths, pause, and clear your minds of any distractions that may be pressing on your minds.  I am sure you will do well if you just relax and concentrate.

Secondly, if any one of you happens not to do well, please don't make that person feel any worse by jeering or throwing snide comments their way.  They probably already feel bad enough that they didn't make a higher grade.  Show that person some compassion and let them know that they tried their best.  It's only the right thing to do.

Third, I want you to know that I am rooting for each and every one of you.  I am very proud of the progress you have made in my class.  You have proven to be worthy, studious, conscientious students this year; I have seen marked improvements in your overall grades, attitude, and behavior.  You make me very proud and honored to have been your teacher this year!

The key is just to relax.  Once this test is over, you can celebrate your victory. I have something special planned after the test is overwith.  I just want to let youall know just how much you are appreciated!

B.)  Pause and relax.  C.)  Know that I will be proud of you, no matter what grade you happen to make.  D.)  And finally:  know that I believe in each and every one of you!!
