I am sitting up in bed; seems I woke up with a migraine plus nausea. It started to hit me yesterday evening, and this morning, I was having double vision and nausea, in addition to a splitting headache. My eyes have since returned to normal (thank GOD!), but I am still nauseated and am still nursing an upset stomach. My head isn't as sore, but it is STILL annoying. I took some of my migraine pills, and it's seemed to help ebb the pain somewhat. There is nothing worse than a "sick headache" coupled with nausea or double vision!
That means Bill has assumed the role of caretaker while I, a nurse, am sick and am now a patient. I am NOT in the hospital, but I am still a patient, and I am NOT a very patient patient! LOL He has the duty to try to keep the kids quiet while mommy (me) tries to rest and sleep off her migraine.
I felt so bad this morning I called into work, told my supervisors I would not be in, as I was sick, nauseated, and had a horrible migraine. They said I sounded awful when I called, and so they told me to stay in bed and get as much rest as possible. Which I HAVE been doing.
The kids are being good (for the MOST part!), and I appreciate their efforts in trying to keep quiet. When I say "kids", I mean the toddlers or younger ones that are not yet in school. The older ones are in school, so at least I have SOMEWHAT of a break until they get home; but I know Hubby-Dear will tell them to be quiet, as mommy is sick in bed with one of her headaches.
Can't write anymore; the nausea and double vision is returning. Will have to try to get some rest....

Ahhh. The weekend. But how can I enjoy it? I am still sick; the headache isn't NEARLY as bad as it was yesterday, but I still have it, and it is making me miserable. At least the nausea and/or double vision are gone; that was probably what was causing the nausea/double vision in the first place: my stupid headache (or, as Johnny and Ronee' and some of the others call it, "headCAKE")! Oh, how I HATE migraines; they are a giant pain...LITERALLY!
I am still in bed; Bill won't let me lift a finger. He wants me to get my rest; he says I have been doing too much, and probably the stress is what has caused my headache. I DO know this much though...if it gets any worse, I may have to go to the emergent care clinic for minor emergencies and get a shot to alleviate the pain like I did last time I had a migraine flare-up.
The kids must know I am sick: they are being awfully quiet. I keep telling Bill to check on them, to make sure they are okay, and he reassures me that everything is under control. Good. Don't need any unexpected emergencies cropping up, especially now with myself being sick! Talk about an impending DISASTER!
Will write more later; gotta' try to get some needed rest....
