How to make a mud bike

 The other day I was standing at my front door looking out with a puzzled look on my face. I was watching my eight year old boy taking his bike and flipping it every which way he could in a small water trough. Obviously, he was trying to get every inch of it wet; with a lot of determination might I add.

 After he so cheerfully mastered this step, he removed the bike from the trough. A few moments later he hopped on it for what I thought was a “wet ride”. This left me thinking perhaps he wanted to pretend he was at some sort of Water Park. I mean after all, it was very HOT out. So hot, I could have probably fried an egg on the pavement.

 Much to my surprise, he stopped and got off his bike after not being on it for that long. Next thing I knew, he was rolling his bike around in a mud puddle. Yeah a mud puddle, it had me wondering too.

 What on earth is he doing now, I thought out loud. Then his older brother, who was watching as well, replied, “Mom, he said he wanted to make him a Mud Bike”. I should have known.

1 full water trough + 1 bike + 1 mud puddle = 1 Awesome looking Mud Bike plus a very dirty kid !

And that’s how an eight year old does it.
