Steam,steal,iron,coal is what America ran on nowadays,the car was still the mainstay in transportation and getting from place to place,trains were here because they could carry cargo,medical supplies,etc.Boats and small planes were good,Anything large or big could not be useful any more because they use fuel and gas .The world was in trouble, they needed a new energy supply and now. Food in certain major cities were rationed space was rare nowadays too.
