The King turned twice to be sure it was him, it was,green and big,a tail with a sharp edge to it,it's skin rough. It even had bright red eyes as told by the knights who saw it in a cave it lived in.Now it was out again,hunting for food,it's favorite meals were meat and people,but in his years encountering dragons the King never saw them eat people,that could be rumors or stories to spread fear among people too. The King had seen many things during his life,which span a good fifty years . But in that time he never saw them eat any people burn down houses either or kidnapped children or damsels in distress,it been the opposite hardly he thought,though as he stood now again before a Dragon,he noticed something odd or peculiar about this one,he did not react or move swiftly or quick like a dragon should this one seemed rather old,like the King was,though Dragons did live hundreds of years,he guess even time would catch up to a Dragon.and another thing his breath which usually Dragons breath hot fire,was now puffs of smoke .The King felt sorry for this Dragon,because they both knew each other since the King was a Prince,at first it look like the Dragon would kill the Prince,in fact the Dragon was battling knights from the same kingdom. ' I'm Prince Goodheart,stop in order by the King,he handed a knight a scroll and they read it,it was true .'There's been a truce now between Dragons and this kingdom,drop your swords,return to your posts,sorry your Prince.'As the knights returned the Prince and Dragon became friends and had many adventures together.The King seeing the knights leaving stayed and sat next to his old friend.' You came,' the Dragon finally said as he smiled.' Yes I'm here now,old friend.'
