     Excerpt from novel.

Twilight seemed to strangle me. The serene

and vivid colors on the horizon meant only more horror and darkness.

I stood at the crossroads of my young life feeling bitter and betrayed.

Why had I believed that it was my duty to bear such pain and misery?

Was I destined to bear my own sins, as well as the sins of others?

Perhaps, it was at this very moment, this "turning point," that I felt myself

changing. Resentment, regret, self-doubt, self-loathing...all those ugly

names my husband had been calling me...all those hideous and

degrading remarks my boyfriend had left seething inside my psyche...

had fashioned a twisted reality inside of me. And this "reality" would

seek it's own validation years later...
