This story is written for the ones that love poetry and short stories, and not a true story, but one that could be one for us all, someday and someway. I have decided to set up my own site here at AD, or find away to place it in a blog, or site, as this site was and is set up for my mother, but I think she would agree with what I write concerning this.

What Did You Save? Or Would have, If Given a Chance?

Reporter asking questions to a writer.

Reporter: "Thank you for the opportunity of talking to you. Are you looking for someone?"

Writer:
OF course I am. I am looking for a brother, mother, sister, Dad, grandmother, aunt, uncle, child, husband, friend, or someone loved deeply.

Reporter: "Where did you live? And where do you live now?"

Writer:
I lived in a home, where I was loved and cared for, and found security. To many it was a shack, to many it was a mansion, to me, it was home. Where do I live now? In a flood, in an attic, in a shelter, on the streets, close to death, and dying and hurting and loss. Where do you live?'

Reporter: "Can you go back to your home?"

Writer:
That depends on many things. Can I go back home, I assume I can one day. Do you have a tissue, my glands are messing up. Yes, I can go on, and forward and back is now confusing to me right now. One step forward and two back, eventually catches up, right?

Reporter: "What did you loose?"

Writer~
That is a stupid question. Evidently, not my life. Well, so far. Right now, I have no phone, no food, no clothes, and I still have no idea what I lost. And I have no idea where I and others are heading. Emotions seem to be lost right now. For so many. Can you give me some water?

Reporter; "If you could salvage anything right now, or find anything important to you, besides family and food and shelter, what would it be?

Writer~T
hat is an easy question. My journal, works, stories, poems, pictures, history of family, and all the important books I could carry.

Reporter: "WHY?"

Writer~A
s it is my history, and the only thing left that describes me, to myself and those that know me. It is the only thing left of me and others before this. It is history

Katie:

You are so right! A writer's work is like a photogrpahic memory of his/her life. It is so precious!

A realistic look at human nature, as well as the careless and insensitives. Some reporters are aweful and much brainless.
