Thanksgiving is just a short two weeks way from being celebrated in this great country of Ours. However, we need to remember what the real meaning of Thanksgiving is!
Thanksgiving is not so much about : the turkey; dressing; cranberry sauce; sweet potatoes; pumpkin pie; and being with friends and family.
As many of us don't have friends and family to celebrate this joyful but spiritual holiday. I do not use "religious" holiday in this short story.
Thanksgiving is about giving thanks and thanking the Lord and the Lady for all the bountiful blessings they have bestowed upon each of their children. Keeping us healthy, keeping us as prosperous as they deem we need to be.
Remembering whatever we have received, we have indeed received from the Lord and Lady, and it is their's to take way as they took away from Job.
It helps keep us mindful of how great Our Lord is and how we are blessed with and by the Lady, who is the Mother of us all.
It helps us to keep our minds on spiritual things rather than secular and material things of this world and reminds us we are in this world but not of this world.
We are here to serve the Lord and Lady first, and to serve them is to serve other human beings, to keep the earth undefiled, pure, and spotless. To treat each other with the same love and respect as we would want to have ourselves.
Remember we are all created in the image of The Lord and Lady.
Let us give Honour and Glory to them both this Thanksgiving Day.
