Braceros—I have seen Braceros working in the hot sun harvesting the crops in the San Joacquin Valley in California. They are working hard building families and communities. The San Joacquin River drains the San Joacquin Delta in the valley. The braceros program was a series of Mexican Farm Labor Agreements. These agreements were signed on August 4, 1942.
The Braceros programs highlights the immigrant, citizenship and transnational or international identities of peoples.
