Sir Antony became King and swore to protect the queen and kingdom until the time came that Moseck's son. would be of age. As the months passed Antony found that it was increasingly difficult to hide his true feeling for Rebbecca. One day Antony turned to say something to her and saw a look in her eye that gave him hope. They gazed at each other and Rebbecca smiled shyly, lowered her eyes, and blushed.
"May I speak frankly with you, my queen?" Antony asked.
"Of course! What is it?" inquired Rebbecca.
"I loved King Moseck as if he was my own father. I would never have done anything to betray him, even at the cost of my own feelings and desires. Now I can not hide what I feel for you any longer. I am in love with you, Rebbecca. I have been since we met so long ago. Could you love me in time?" he pleaded.
"Sir Antony, you have moved my heart. I loved Moseck with all my heart. Now I know I am ready to begin a new life. I know not anyone I want to spend my life with more than you. During these last few months we have spent together I have already come to love you," Rebbecca replied.
"Would you do me the greatest honor by marrying me, my love?" he asked as he knelt before her.
She replied as she knelt to face him,"I desire nothing more than to marry you, my lord."
They kissed softly and went out to arrange the declaration of their engagement to the kingdom. The runners were dispatched to the four corners of the kingdome to announce the wedding and the priest was called to post the banns in accordance with custom.
All the kingdom was there for the wedding. It was a beautiful service. As they knelt before the priest the sun shown down on them through the window. All the lords and ladies stared at the scene before them. It was as if God himself was smiling on the union. Afterwards there wasa great feast for everyone in the castle, even down to the lowest servant.
