Barbara has heard from her folks, who are now in Alaska.
I am sooo relieved!!
Maman and daddy are in Alaska now; they got in two days ago; but they couldn't call until now because daddy was in the hospital for two days. He just got out this morning, and maman says right now he is taking it easy.
They are at Jenna and Michael's apartment in Anchorage, and they said that they are both very nice people. Johnny and Ronee' are with them too, and they all weathered the trip just fine..that was, until daddy started wheezing, and ended up going to the hospital up there in Anchorage with a full-blown asthma attack. He ended up being admitted for a few days; but now he is back at Jenna's apartment, and right now he seems to be okay. They were supposed to leave Anchorage tomorrow, but the captain of their ship called to say that the boat they were on is having some sort of mechanical problems; so it looks as if they won't be leaving Anchorage until Thursday at the very earliest.
Maman and daddy both said that Johnny and Ronee' are having a good time, but the fact that their father got sick and ended up in the hospital kind of changed plans; and both of the kids are rather bummed; but Michael took them out to see Anchorage (he took them to the Heritage Museum and to a movie about the Northern Lights; he said that the kids really enjoyed themselves; and Ronee' got herself a new porcelain Inuit doll to add to her collection of porcelain dolls); and he also took them to the mall, and the kids got some more things. They then went back to the apartment, and Jenna was fixing something for supper upon their return (she was making salmon patties and french fries); so right now they are probably stuffing their faces and talking Jenna and Michael's ears off! LOL
The kids are behaving; if they don't, there's always Grandpere' Armand to lower the boom on them! LOL There's also Grandmere' Therese, and also the older kids still left at home; so the little kids don't have any chance to act up! LOL Trent's been over a few times already, and it is always so nice to see him! He and I are really getting serious about our relationship, and I can honestly say that I am truly in love with him! He loves me too, and he always enjoys being with me or my brothers and sisters.
I just got done doing my homework, and I just fed Jodie her Iso-Cal; and like always, she spewed all over; but she always does that. It's disGUSTing whenever she "blows", but she is okay, really. She can't swallow, the poor thing, and her tummy is just too darn sensitive; there's not many things that she can't keep down without her erupting! Still, we DO try to keep her nourished! If not, then we can always get a hold of Dr. Emmons or her pediatric specialist, and they come over and take care of things; and pretty soon, Jodie is fine again. I also changed Todd's diaper (he did a massive dump in his diapers; right now, I am trying to air out the house from the smell, and the little kids think it is hilarious!), and I also gave the kids their evening meds; and right now, all is well in our little part of the world.
I am so relieved to finally have heard from our folks; now I can concentrate on caring for my sibs without having to worry myself halfway to death about our folks and Johnny and Ronee'; I now know they are there, in fine shape, and now that daddy is well from his asthma attack and is out of the hospital, I can finally relax and start breathing myself! LOL I was startting to wonder if I needed to take a snort of some oxygen lately...LOL
I am going to get ready and put the kids to bed; I will then probably turn on the boob tube and watch the videos for a good laugh. That is one of my all time favorite shows, "America's Most Funniest Home Videos"! I will write more whenever I can and keep you up to date on our "roughin' it", but right now I am happy to report that our house is still standing, and we haven't had to call for any emergency back up! LOL
