Dear Jenna:
Hey, gurl! How you doing? Hope this finds you well and happy! Thanks so much for writing; it is always a joy to hear from you again!
Glad to know that you are getting along better. That is always a relief to know! I have been busy writing letters; and my fingers are starting to get cramped! I just wrote a letter to Sari Gustaffssenn, my friend in Finland (only she isn't IN Finland...guess where she is at? ATHENS, as in Athens, Greece! She is at the OLYMPICS!! She said she is having a ball, but the Greek heat is getting to her fast, and she can't wait to get back home to Finland, where it isn't as warm! LOL Can you imagine THAT?? LOL), and I am waiting to hear from her! She said she has met some of the athletes and MAY get autographs for Johnny, Ronee', and Gemini! Wouldn't THAT be something?? She said that she would eat some souvlaki, kalamari, and bavlaka for me! YUM! I am getting hungry just THINKING of it! (She says, licking her chops hungrily at the thought of the Greek food! LOL)
This letter finds me on the road again...we are on our way home from Louisiana; we were at the LeCajun Music and Awards Festival they have every year in Lafayette, and we had a ball! Ronee' performed at LeCajun, and she had fun, too, but she broke her arm in a nasty fall last week while going outside to play (she hooked her foot while going down the steps, and she fractured her right wrist; she now has a purple cast on her right arm), but she is feeling much better, but she will have to have the cast on for six weeks or so. She really scared me when she fell, but she is a trouper, and nothing seems to keep her down for long; and I suspect that she will be back to her old self very soon! We also had a sick puppy to tend to: "Ginger", Johnny's helping dog, got sick after she got a hold of some chocolate, and she nearly died; but the vets at the animal hospital managed to save her life, and I am happy to report that she has fully recovered and is back to her happy, frisky self again! Poor little Johnny was lost without his buddy, but now that she is all better, Johnny is doing much better!
We should be home sometime Thursday, and on Friday, Ronee' is scheduled to go to her audition. Did we tell you she is auditioning for a spot on the new TV talent show, "America's Most Talented Kids", on the PAX tv network? She is! We hope she does well, but if she doesn't, that is okay too: it just wasn't meant to be. It's like when she lost on "Star Search" last year. She did great--she even made it to the semi finals!--, but she lost to an 11-year-old, and she took the loss very graciously! She was happy that she got as far as she did, and we were proud of how well she handled herself in the midst of defeat! She has shown to be a good sport in defeat, and she has proven to be a classy young lady when so many other child stars act like such spoiled brats! (We will let you know how Ronee' fares during her audition the next time I write, okay? Stay tuned~) I then go back to work on Saturday, am off Sunday, and work my regular Monday-Friday shift next week. I will be glad to go back to work at the hospital; I kind of miss it! LOL
Well, Jenna, I must go--time to feed Jodie her "lunch" of Iso-Cal! YUM! LOL She is hungry; I can hear her stomach growling from across the room, and she is giving me a hungry look on her face! She looks so darn cute! She looks just like a baby bird! LOL I will write after I am done feeding Jodie; so stay tuned for more stuff from me! Take care, and God bless!
