Interrupted by an unexpected phone call (it was Michael's mother in Louisiana), Jenna is forced to continue her letter to her friend in Tennessee she had meant to finish, but was interrupted by the phone.

Dear Louisiana:
I am sorry for the interruption in this letter to you all, but the phone light came on, signalling to me that the phone was ringing; and when I got on the TTY, I discovered that it was Maman Doucet, Michael's mama in Louisiana, calling. She called just to say hello, and that she loved us and was looking forward to the wedding next month! Wasn't that sweet? I just LOVE her! I also love his brothers and sisters, and they have already indocrinated me as an "Honorary Cajun"! (Can you imagine THAT?? LOL)
I am sure you heard of the Russian plane crashes, and that terrorism may play a role in them. Isn't that awful? I just can't imagine the evil these b******s have in their twisted minds, and I can't imagine why they must hate "infidels" (non-Muslims) so much! What did we ever do to them? I feel so ashamed for these people, and I still have had nightmares about the attacks nearly three years ago that brought the Twin Towers tumbling down and thus, changing the lives of all people (in particular, Americans) forever! I said a prayer for those who were involved in the tragedy, and Louie, you know I am not a very religious person; but I felt it in my spirit that I had to pray for these people, so I did. I also prayed for America and her people and our leaders!
Maman Doucet was the one who told us of the plane crashes in Russia, and when I heard about it, I cried! I don't know what our world is coming to, but I don't like it, not one bit!
But onto more happier, more pleasantries: you don't know how happy I was to have heard from you again! I am happy that your trip to Louisiana was a success and that Ronee' got to perform at that Cajun festival! I bet you had fun listening to all that Cajun music and eating all that wonderful Cajun food, knowing just how much you HATE that stuff (NOT! LOL)! I bet the kids had a ball, too! Did any of them dance to the music? Was it hot there in Louisiana? I still don't know how Michael or anyone can stand all that blistering heat or humidity: the last time I was in Louisiana, I liked to have DIED! Oh, it was awful! I thought I was going to turn into an Eskimo PUDDLE! LOL I would have melted like the Alaskan ice does in warmer weather! LOL There would have been nothing left of me but liquid! LOL
Can you tell I am in a goofy mood, now that I got all that bad stuff out of the way? I guess it must be all the pills and stuff I am on; it makes me goofy-headed, and it messes with my mind BIG time! But such as life when one is on pills, as I am! I wish I WEREN'T on pills, but as long as I am under a doctor's care, I am afraid I have no choice in the matter! SHEESH! It's NO wonder I have no appetite! The stupid meds have FRIED my appetite, and it is a BATTLE just to get me to eat! It's no wonder I am so skinny and frail looking! I look EVIL!
It is now 10:31 in the morning here in Alaska (we are two hours behind you), and the weather is fair, but smokey. The air is full of smoke, and you can smell the fires from time to time. There are thankfully no fires near us, but the winds are carrying the smoke our way, and every once in a while, when a good breeze kicks up, you can smell smoke, and the air looks murky. I am glad I don't have asthma or any other breathing troubles! Your husband or your kids with breathing ills (Johnny, Ronee', Rhiannon, etc.) would NOT like the air here now; it would more than likely bother their breathing! Tonight it is supposed to be clear, and they are forecasting auroras again. So you know where Michael and I will be later tonight! LOL
Well, my good arm is getting a serious cramp in it now, so I will let you go before it up and falls off! LOL My arm HURTS! OWIE! My back is healing well, and I am glad I don't have a pinched nerve anymore there; that was AWFUL! I sure hope I am not getting another pinched nerve; once was MORE than enough! I will write when I next hear from you. Until later, Louisiana, take care, and God bless you! See you in a few weeks; can't wait to meet y'all (or see you, Bill, Johnny, and Ronee' again!)!
