Thank you for writing; it is good to hear from you again! Glad you didn't have any severe flooding; but sorry you did have some! Hopefully your basement has dried out by now! Sounds like things have been hoppin' at your place, what with your friends from Fort Worth, Texas, and also your friends from Greece and Finland being at your place! YIKES! Your place must be a ZOO! LOL I don't know if I could handle all those extra people at your place when you already have a lot of kids runnin' loose! LOL
How did you meet someone from Finland or Greece? I am still trying to figure that one out! Did you go to Finland or Greece any time and didn't tell me about it? If so, you get around, you little world traveler, you! LOL I certainly hope that your friends speak English or else you are going to be in a lot of trouble! LOL
Ronee' and Johnny both sound absolutely adorable! Glad they are both doing well; that is wonderful to hear about Johnny's grades and also Ronee' 's talents as a young singer! I wish both Johnny and Ronee' all the best in all their endeavors!
My kids are all well; but over the weekend, two of them (Humberto, Jr. and also Chico) had the runs; they ate something that didn't agree with their systems, and they had the squirts both yesterday and on Saturday. I was doing a little extra in the way of laundry; they both messed up their sheets and bedclothes! And it was not pleasant on the old schnozzola! PEWWW! LOL Poor little guys were doubled over with cramps and pain, and they spent most of Saturday on the john; and yesterday they started feeling better, and they didn't seem to be as uncomfortable. But they seem to be fine today, so I sent them off to pre-K! They haven't had any problems because I haven't heard from their teacher, so I guess that is a good thing! LOL
I am well too, all things considering. My head hasn't been giving me as much trouble, and my husband had his annual physical last week; he did okay, but his disability may be upped somewhat. Seems there has been more deteriation in his spine and as a result, he has been having more pain than usual. Still, he is not one to complain; he just keeps his feelings to himself and he thinks that I shouldn't worry as much like I do! But I DO! I AM his wife, after all! I have that right to worry about my hubby! LOL
The weather here in Texas is turning absolutely delightful. It was hot over the weekend, but temps are starting to cool (FINALLY!), and highs are supposed to be in the upper 80's to very low 90's. I can handle that! It has been sunny, and the kids have spent their time after school playing in the pool or just generally playing with their friends and neighbors. Which gives me time to get the house picked up! Glad the weather has calmed down there in Tennessee! That must have been scary, what with all that heavy rain and flooding that was going around! YIKES! Makes me glad I don't live in East Texas (around the Gulf Coast) or the southeastern part of the U.S.! I have enough problems with the tornadoes that visit every spring; and that is when I am praying and wishing "Boy, I wish I had a basement...." Being in Texas, there is no such animal: very few homes have a basement. It's because of the water table, and the ground here is mostly clay; and that just doesn't hold very well for building a basement. So we have to suffer during tornado season and hope one of those violent Texas twisters don't visit and turn our home into kindling! LOL (Do you have tornadoes there? I hope not; tornadoes are nothing to be taken lightly, and they aren't nothing to fool around with!!) Speaking of tornadoes, I put a picture of one on this letter that I got off the Internet. I would say enjoy, but tornadoes are really no laughing matter (unless you survived one!), and there isn't really anything that amusing about tornadoes! LOL Tornadoes are scary, and I HATE them with a purple passion!
In the winter, do you have snow, or does it rain more? Here in Texas, especially where I live, we get rain. It is mild here in Del Rio and blazingly hot in the summer. Spring is prime time for storms, and fall is probably my favorite time of the year. It seems that fall is when the weather behaves itself, and we actually get some decent sunshine and pleasant temperatures! Plus the nights are so cool and pleasant, and we always enjoy the evenings here in the fall. What is the weather like in Tennessee?
I would like to go to Tennessee, but have never been. I have been too busy with my family and with my teaching! Hopefully, one of these days we can take a journey and go up that way; I would love to visit the Grand Ole Opry or Music Row! Here in Texas we have opry shows, but they are nothing in comparison to THE Queen of the Opries, the Grand Ole Opry there in Nashville! Still, Texas is a hotbed for Texas country talent, and some of the entertainers are quite young, just little bitty kids! Are there any other Opries there besides the Grand Ole Opry? Bet Tennessee is teeming with country talent as well!
Well, sweet Thang, I have to run; the doorbell is going off. I sure hope it ain't another durn salesman! I am tired of them bugging me for stuff that I can't afford, and stuff that I have absolutely no use for! Do you ever have that problem? I do, and it is getting PAST annoying!!
