Dear Louie:
Hai! Miita kuuluu? Kiitas hyvaas!
As you may surmise from this, the greetings, this is Sari, your friend in Finland. I hope this finds you well; it has been a while since I have heard from you or you from me, since I left to go back home.
I had a safe trip back to Finland; but I cried most of the way there. I also was crying because I was saying goodbye to Niko, and I miss him so much when we are not together! He is the best thing to have happen to me, and he just makes me so happy!
How are you doing? Have you heard from Niko yet? I hope so; he is such a light in my life! How are your children, and also your husband? Tell them all that I say "Hai!", and tell them that I love and miss them all! My mother is well; so are my brothers, and they are all happy that I made it back to Ivalo in one piece! LOL Healthwise, I am doing pretty good, but on rainy days, my body hurts, and I just don't want to get out of bed because the pain is so bad. Plus I feel as though I haven't slept for a week! UCH!! I HATE having this fibromyalgia; this, being in pain, is the absolute HORROR!
The weather here today is rainy, but it is supposed to stop before tomorrow. It is rainy now, but not as bad as earlier; and it seems to be tapering off somewhat. I am not hurting as badly now as I was earlier today, thank goodness! I have been trying to keep up with my studies at university and working, and also thinking about Niko! LOL He and I email each other just about every day! He says his sister is doing well in Rehab hospital, and she is starting to move her arms more, which is terrific news! They still don't know if Athena will ever walk again, but things are starting to look less stormy for her. I am so pleased!
How is your little girl, Ronee', the one who broke her arm? Is she still wearing her cast, or is it finally off? If it IS off, I bet she is happy to be back on her crutches again! And Johnny: has he had any more problems with his epileptic seizures? I hope not; they were quite terrifying to see, and I thought for sure he was dying at times! YIKES! I don't know how he (or you) put up with them! How are the other kids doing? Has their health held up any? I hope it has; you have a lot to worry about as it is when your kids are WELL! I still don't know how you do it, Louie! I really don't!
Are you still writing to that friend of yours in California...oh, what's her name...Kendra. Yes, that is it. How is she doing? Do you write to any others? Have you heard from your friends in Alaska, Jenna Whitson and also that Sikik girl whose last name I still can't spell, let alone, PRONOUNCE?? LOL I hope they are okay, too. Are you thinking of going to Alaska again? If so, I might like to join you, just to see if the Northern Lights are as good as they are here in Finland. (I still say the Finnish lights are WAY better than the Alaskan lights!)
Well, Louie, I will go now; I have to take care of Mother and then the reindeer. I will write again soon; I will tell Niko hello from you next time I hear from him (that should be tomorrow! LOL). I really enjoyed seeing you and your family when I came to America, and I was happy to introduce Niko to you; now you see why I think he is so special to me! He is my Greek god, and I am the lucky one to have him in MY life!
I love you all, and I will write again soon; that is a promise! Until later, this is Sari saying Nakemiin!

Karen, you are filling our need for letters. It seems that people very seldom write them anymore. It used to be fun to get and read them. Thank you for writing yours. If we don't receive them anymore, we can always come to your site and read a good one.
