Johnny's turn to write in the family fair journal. His spirited sister had her say, now it is his turn to talk.
I don't know why I even bother coming to the fair. There's not much I can ride without getting sick; I can get sick on the MERRY-GO-ROUND if I let it get to me; but it seems that no matter the ride, I end up losing my LUNCH on it, even on something as tame as the merry go round! UCH! So I just sit around (LITERALLY!) in my chair and people watch; it beats staying home feeling sorry for myself!
This is Johnny. My stupid sister the Monster CAN have her rides; I don't NEED 'em! I can't watch them without getting that familiar sickish feeling in the pit of my belly, and if I watch for too long, there I am, losing it on the ground, along with some poor sap who got sick on the ride...and I am not even ON the stupid ride! I am on the ground, sitting in my chair, for goodness sake! I can't handle those stupid rides: I have a very sensitive stomach, and there isn't much that my stomach can't handle before it goes into reverse and my dinner pays a return visit! UCH!
If it weren't for the exhibit halls or the shows or the animals, I would have otherwise stayed home; but then I would have been home all by my lonesome, and that is no way to spend a day when your family is off at the fair doing fair things! So I am here at the fair trying not to be bored and trying to look at something BESIDES spinny, barf-inducing rides! (UCH! Johnny, just SHUT UP already; you are gonna' get sick if you don't cool it...)
I am looking forward to the music shows, too: Loretta Lynn, Ronnie Milsap, Alan Jackson, Tanya Tucker, Toby Keith, and Reba McEntire are part of the fair line up, and I will probably be at all these shows; I LOVE country music! There will also be shows by the Coasters, Vince Vance and the Valiants, Kid Rock (ICK), Hank, Jr. (I'll be at his show too; I'll be one of his "Rowdy Friends!" LOL), Aretha Franklin, and CeCe Winans. Tiffany Evans will also be there. I forgot to mention her (and it seems that mama and Ronee' the Monster did too. Tiff is a kid who won "Star Search", and she is really cool! Ronee' the Monster just LOVES her!). Maybe I will see her too. I don't know; it depends how my tummy feels after watching the rides. ICK!
I am gonna' try to get my mind off rides for a minute and go to some of the shows and also see some more of the exhibits while Ronee' and her friends (my brothers and sisters) go on the icky rides. They can have 'em; I DOOOOOOOONNNNNN'T need 'em! (I remember last year, when I got sick on the Orbiter...BARRRRRRRRRRF City! I was NOT a happy camper; I made a MESS to end ALL messes! ICKO~!)
