Dear Rebekkah Rachel~
Hi! Thank you for writing to me; it is nice to hear from you!
I am glad you want to write to me. I was hoping you would because I don't have a lot of friends, and I really don't get much in the way of mail; now my SISTER the "RONSTER", on the other hand....she is the MAIL QUEEN! She gets mail just about every day, and it really makes me MAD!
I was afraid you wouldn't write back to me because of my being in a wheelchair. Sometimes I will write to someone, and when I tell them that I have muscular dystrophy and am in a wheelchair, they don't write back to me, which makes me feel bad. I am a kid who just happens to have a crummy disease; they don't have to treat me like I don't have any brains in my head! I didn't ask for this crud; it just happened because my real mom had the stupid gene in her body, and she passed it on to me! That isn't very fair now, is it??
I am glad that you like to do many things. I like to read, draw, play video games (I am the video game CHAMP of Twin Rivers Lane; nobody can beat me!! Ha ha!!), play with my cars (I did have a remote control HUMMER, but my little brother, Kwame', broke it; he planted his butt on it and BROKE the axle; now I am hoping I get a new HUMMER for Christmas! I was soo mad at him I wanted to HURT him, but I have since forgiven him; still, I DO miss my HUMMER!!), play wheelchair sports (I am especially good at basketball and baseball; I play on a Little League team for disabled kids in the summer, and I always have a lot of fun!), sing, play my musical instruments (I can play piano, keyboards, organ, fiddle, Cajun accordion, and banjo; I taught myself, believe it or not!), go to concerts (I especially like seeing my favorite country stars in concert; I am a huge fan of Reba McEntire and also Loretta Lynn--but the Ronster likes Loretta more than Reba!--; I also like Faith Hill!), and play with my palsie-walsies. I love to write too, and I also love to play with my toy soldiers and pretend that they are Americans defending our country from terrorists; and the good guys (the Americans) always win.
What shows do you watch on tv? I watch "America's Most Talented Kids", "Star Search", "American Idol" (when it's ON, that is!), "Touched By An Angel", "Doc", "Miracle Pets", "E.R.", and T.G.I.F. on ABC. I also watch the anime' shows on Cartoon Network; I love the way they draw the characters. I especially like "Poke'mon", or however it's spelled; I am not too good with those Japanese names and stuff. I like the shows because we have closed-captioning on our tv (I am hearing impaired; I don't hear well, and I have to wear hearing-aids; with them, I can hear, but without them, forgeddaboudit!), and I can follow along with the programs, no problems at all. I think that is cool! I also love messing around on the computer. As you can see, I am a very well rounded guy with a busy life!
I liked the turkey you put on your letter; that was too cute! I like to put things on my letters too, to give them more pazzazz. Hard to believe that Turkey Day is almost here, isn't it? And then Christmas, and THEN my birthday, which falls on the day AFTER Christmas! But Ronee', the poor sap, got gypped: her birthday is ON Christmas Day! She got ROBBED! LOL I am glad I am not a Christmas Baby; I wouldn't like people forgetting about MY birthday! And I also have a sister, Enriquesa (she's the youngest girl!), who was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, and another sister (Debby), who was born on December 27! That is a bad week for our family, December 20 until the 27: every day that week someone in our family has a birthday! LOL
When is YOUR birthday, Rebekkah?? I am curious!
I am glad you are saved; that is cool! I have never heard of the Messianic Jews though; just those who celebrate Hanukah or Passover; and they don't celebrate Christmas. I think that would be sad not to celebrate Christmas! I have a friend at my school who is "Jehovah's Witness", and they don't celebrate ANY holidays. I think that is so sad! I really feel sorry for them! I was saved when I was seven, and I love knowing that I have accepted Jesus into my heart and that I will be going to Heaven and live with Jesus forever and ever! I think that is cool! We go to a Pentecostal church, Christ Community Assembly of God, and we really enjoy church! I love our pastor, Pastor Bilkey: he is very big, and when he speaks, his voice just shakes the room, it is so loud, especially when he is preaching! I get scared sometimes because his face gets all red like a boiled crawdad, and I am afraid that he is going to drop dead of a heart attack or a stroke! But he IS a good pastor; he preaches good, and he sure does know the Bible inside out and backwards!
Well, Rebekkah, study hall will be ending soon, and then it is on to recess and then lunch, so I will write later (probably when I get home from school!). Thank you for writing back; it is good to hear from you! I will write again soon; and that is a PROMISE! Take care and God bless you!
