Ronee' writes about her little cousin, Cajun Marie, who died on Saturday at the age of six and a half. Cajun Marie was her father's brother's daughter, and she had a lot of health problems.

Dear Journal~
I am very sad today. Have been sad since Saturday. My little cousin who lived in Memphis died; she was only six and a half, and I loved her with all my heart and soul.
Cajun Marie was the adopted daughter of my daddy's brother, Marvin (he is my uncle), and his wife, Antoinette. They have five other daughters, and I am sure that they are devastated over her death. She was born in Korea; she was adopted when she was a baby, and she faced a lot of severe health problems. She was blind and deaf, she could not talk at all, she was severely mentally disabled, and she also had severe cerebral palsy and had to be fed by a tube in her belly. She was unable to do a lot for herself, and she had to have special medical care around the clock. Still, she was a cute kid, and she always seemed to have a smile on her face when she was feeling good, and she knew in her own special little way that she was loved; and she knew how to love others. She was a special little girl, and I loved her so much!
Now she is with Jesus, in Heaven, and she now has a new body: she is no longer handicapped, and I am sure she is running around, just squealing her head off as she hears and sees the sounds and sights of Heaven! I am sure she is enjoying testing out her new angel's wings, and I am sure she is going to have a ball hanging around with Jesus!
In a small sort of way, I am a little jealous. I wish I could be up there with Jesus; I would really love to see His Face, and to see Cajun all healthy! That'd be too cool!
Maman and daddy went to be with Uncle Marvin and Tante Toni in Memphis, to attend the wake and then the funeral (that is tomorrow afternoon, maman said); Barbara is the one who is in charge (well, her and my other older sisters and also my grandparents!). I wish I could be there with maman and daddy, and also my cousins! I feel so bad for them...and this happened right before Christmas too! Such a shame!!
I shall always remember my little cousin, Cajun Marie, and I pray that God eases our pain and sorrow soon! Nobody should have to die, especially so close to Christmas!!
