Sari finally manages to answer her American friend's last email. She writes her a long, chatty letter.

Dearest Louisiana, my friend in America~
Hai! Miita kuuluu? Kiitos hyvaas!
How was your Christmas? Our Christmas went quite well; Mother managed to stay well, as did my brothers, and we all had fun visiting and opening presents. I pray and hope that your Christmas went well, I know that your one daughter, Ronee', was sick the last time I wrote, and I hope that she is over her illness. Please tell her that if she isn't better yet, I hope she feels better soon, and I hope she likes what I got her. Did you get your package yet? I certainly hope so! Please let me know as soon as possible if you got it or not; if not, I shall get very angry at the post! LOL I also hope your little son, Johnny, enjoys what I got him, too. How is HE doing? Is HE managing to stay well, too? I hope so! I always worry whenever any of your children get sick, but I think I worry about Johnny and Ronee' most of all! Both of those little darlings have been through so much with their health!
The weather here is bitterly cold and snowy, perfect for the Christmas/New Year time. How has the weather been there in Tennessee? I hope you had some snow for Christmas; somehow it wouldn't seem the same without snow or colder temperatures! I would feel so lost if I were in, say, Australia, or in places like Florida or California, places where it hardly snows! That would drive me crazy! I have been spending plenty of time in the sauna or in the hot tub! I also have been doing some skiing, and I have been busy taking care of our reindeer, who have gotten fat and are well fed. The wolves have not been bothering my herd since we put up the electric fence, thank the Lord! I haven't been having TOO much trouble with my aches and pains, and I pray that this continues. I HATE it when I hurt; I just can't imagine the pain you, Bill, or Ronee' must endure day after day! How horrible! How DO you do it??
Thank you for telling me about your little niece, Cajun Marie. That is awful that she had to die so young; I am sure she was a beautiful little girl. You will have to send me a picture of her if you have an extra one lying around; I would like to see what she looked like. I pray that God blesses you during this time, and I pray that He eases your grief during this sad time! (Hey! I am starting to sound like you! LOL)
Yes, I did see the meteors, that is, when the skies cleared. They WERE quite spectacular; and I loved those which grazed the ground. Those were really cool (as you Americans would say! LOL)! I enjoyed them very much; but I think my favorite thing to look at are the Northern Lights! LOL I hope you get to see the Lights again soon!
Wasn't that awful about the earthquake/sunami that hit southeastern Asia? Such a huge, unbelievable loss of life, I just can't imagine what those poor people must be going through! Over 40,000 at last count...my goodness! And I heard that two people from FINLAND died in the quake; oh, I hope and pray that it isn't anyone I know! I am glad that my family is safe, but still...I pray it isn't anyone I know! That would be too horrible!! I have been watching the news broadcast about the disaster, and it seems that all I have done since Sunday is cry, cry, cry, especially when I saw the families grieving over the limp, dead bodies of their loved ones, or the bodies of those poor little babies and young children!! I certainly hope somebody helps those nations that were most affected by the quake! They NEED the help! That is most definitely a worldwide event, and the world will never be the same!
Nikolas is sitting right beside me, watching me write, and he tells me to tell you all hello! He will be writing to you soon; and he sends you his love from Greece by way of Finland! He is doing very well, and he will always be my Greek god! LOL He looks about the same, but his hair is a little longer than it was when we were at the Olympics last summer! He is worried because some of his friends went to that area where the quake occurred, and he is afraid that they may have been caught in it, and he hasn't heard anything as of yet. I will keep you posted regarding this matter; and as soon as I hear anything, I (or Nikolas) will get to you as soon as possible! Keep him (and me) in your prayers; we pray for you every day here!
Well, I will let you go. The phone is ringing, maybe it is one of Nik's relatives? I hope so; I and Nik both have been so worried ever since we first heard about the earthquake...Until next time, Nakemiin, and know that we both love and miss you so very much!

This is a great write as always, 60, 000 and counting, I believe I am going to do what I did on 9-11 and collect all the change I can with a little help and then send it to red cross for the relief efforts, at least that would be doing something...
