Ronee' is on her way to California, where she is due to tape a segment for the tv talent show, "America's Most Talented Kids". Understandably, she is scared, and she is also worried about her mother, Louisiana, who is going into the hospital for surgery tomorrow. In addition, she has found out that her friend, Marvella Johnson, died yesterday due to complications after suffering a massive stroke at the age of 11.
Tuesday, February 23, 2005, nearly 11 o'clock in the morning (written from inside an AIRPLANE!!)~

Dear Journal~

I never thought this day would NEVER get here, but here I am, sitting in a seat on a huge airplane, winging my way towards Hollywood, California. My daddy is sitting right beside me, and I can tell he has a lot on his mind. Frankly, so do I.

I am on my way to Hollywood, California, because I am going to be taping a segment for the television talent show for kids, "America's Most Talented Kids", and to tell you the honest to God truth, I am scared spitless! I am trying to be positive about it, but I am scared of flubbing up on national tv, and I am scared that the judges, the host (Dave Coulier of "Full House" fame), or the audience won't like me. I am also scared because they will see me, and they will immediately know that I am physically disabled, and I wonder what they will be thinking when they see me. I have been practicing my song practically nonstop for the past week, and I think I have it down pat by now, but still...the butterflies are busy in my stomach right now, and just the thought of being on television, in front of a live studio audience, makes me break out in a cold sweat, and I start shaking with nerves!

I am also worried about Mama; she is going into the hospital today; she will have an MRI and other tests today, and tomorrow, she will be having some serious back surgery done. She has a "prolapsed disk" in her spine, and it is pressing on the spinal nerve; and this is what is causing her severe pain in her back and down both legs, and she has had a lot of trouble with her walking lately. She is now using forearm crutches to get around, and it has really been hard on all of us to see her suffering so much. I hope and pray she does well during her surgery tomorrow, and I hope that something can be done to relieve the pain that she has had for so long! It seems each time I have thought of her, I have cried buckets of tears!

I have been an emotional mess these past few days, and I am afraid it is only going to get worse until I: a.) know that maman did well during her surgery, or b.) the television taping is overwith and done. Until then, I can only sit here in my seat, chewing on my knuckles, and pulling at my hair. I am about to drive daddy crazy with my hair-pulling and my chewing on my knuckles! But I can't help it! I am beyond terrified!!

I will write more later; I am going to try to drink something to settle my queasy belly, and I am going to see if I can keep my food down! Wish me luck! Or better yet, just keep me in your prayers; I really can use 'em about now!

~Luv, your (terror-stricken) friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :0

P.S.: I also found out that my friend, Marvella, died. She died yesterday afternoon, and that has me highly upset too. The last few days of my life have been a DISASTER!!

~Ronee'. :( >tears<

Just noticed I had the date wrong...what is wrong with me?? I can't even get the stupid dates right! I must be going crazy....*sobbing*
