Ronee' started thinking about some of the people she has seen in concert, so she decided to write about some of her most memorable experiences.

Dear Journal~
I don't know if I have listed who I have seen in concert, so I am about to do that for you now. I have gone to plenty of concerts in my lifetime (I started going to concerts ever since I was but a little child), and I have seen just about every performer you can imagine. I have seen country music concerts, as well as concerts featuring rock and roll, rhythm and blues, Cajun, gospel, classical, and bluegrass music.
Some of the people I have been lucky to have seen include Loretta Lynn (she is probably like my all-time favorite country singer; I have seen her well over 20 times!), Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Ronnie Milsap, the Statler Brothers, "Alabama", Hank Williams, Jr., Mickey Gilley, Joe Diffie, Toby Keith, Sonny Burgess (this new guy from Texas; he is coming up in his bid to become a new country music singing sensation!), Kata Hay, Roy Clark, Jana Jae, "Rascal Flatts", Keith Urban (I didn't particularly care for him, but I still saw him!), Shania Twain (I didn't like her concert AT all!), Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, and Vince Gill (just a few of the country stars I have seen! I have met most of them too! :) ), "Beausoleil", Belton Richard, Jo-El Sonnier, Johnny Sonnier, Sheryl Cormier, Doug Kershaw, Jimmy C. Newman and "Cajun Country", Hunter Hayes, Wayne Toups, Walter Mouton, Helen Boudreaux, Vin Bruce, Jim Olivier, Kristy Guillory, and Steve Riley (all Cajun music stars, all fantastic in their own right), "Kiss", Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Tiffany Evans, Usher, Ludacris, MC Hammer, Michael Jackson (before he started having all this legal stuff happening to him), Tina Turner, Cher, Snoop Doogy Dog, Stevie Wonder, and Li'l Bow Wow (rap, rock, and rhythm and blues), the Goodmans, Karen Wheaton, Mark Lowry, The Bill Gaither Trio, Sandi Patti, Victoria Huggins, Dallas Holm, and the Isaacs (gospel), Itzhak Perlman (I know I spelled his first name wrong! LOL), and many more. I have seen these people all over the U.S., at festivals, fairs, concert halls, or special events, and most of the shows were quite enjoyable. As I said earlier, I got to meet a lot of these people, and I was lucky to have had my picture made with them (and I got their autographs, too! :) )!
I am not counting the times when I opened for a particular singer (like Loretta Lynn); these are the people I actually saw IN concert; and I will never forget my concert experiences as long as I live! I usually have had no problems in getting to go backstage (my maman and daddy know how to work the system and they also know some of the people), and I have always enjoyed my backstage visits with these performers. Afterwards, I then leave, and I usually have a silly grin on my face, and there are people hoping to go backstage, and I can tell by their faces that they are a little jealous. I am sorry they don't get to go backstage, but since I am a performer, that allows me easy access, and I must admit that it IS kind of neat! :)
I was thinking about Loretta Lynn performing last night at Billy Bob's Texas (I saw her there last year, and the years prior, from 2000 until 2004), but then I found out in the paper that she got sick and had to cancel; so I don't know who substituted for her. Billy Bob's Texas is one of my very favorite concert venues to go to, and I love listening to the music and watching the people dance to the houseband before the show. I also love looking at all the games and stuff, and I love browsing around in the souvenir shop. There is so much to see and so much to do at Billy Bob's Texas, and each time I get to go to Fort Worth, Texas, and go to Billy Bob's, it is always a thrilling treat! (Especially if Loretta Lynn is there! She is very well loved at Billy Bob's, and when she is there, the fans go absolutely NUTZ!) I hope I get to go to Billy Bob's Texas again soon; I just LOVE that place! :)

Boy all are doing a whole lot better than I ever did and I grew up in Vegas you'd think I'd have the top seat in this one wouldn't ya but I gotta brag a little here I did get to see Alabama at their debut to the world! so HA! They appeared at the Aladin Hotel with Charlie Daniels Now he is one amazing performer too I was in awe of his talents. But back stage nope! Not me That's a neat story here. One day I'm gonna make it to the Country Thunder that comes here to this depressed little 48th state! one time one April! I'll be there!

To think I have only seen Jillian Ryan, The Moody Blues, and Kevin Spencer and Friends, as well as a few other gospel singers...That's okay though, I am making plans to go to Vegas to Celine Dion, but personally Jillian Ryan was my favorite.
