Dear Jenna Aurora~
I am so sorry for not writing sooner, but things have really been busy at work and at home. I am still working five days a week, but lately, I have been working nights, and it has messed up my circadian rhythms BIG time! LOL It's like my biological clock has been thrown into total chaos; at times I am so tired I don't know whether I am coming OR going! LOL I also have fifty-two rambunctious children to take care of, and they keep me on my toes! LOL
I am so happy to hear from you; thank you for writing! I am sorry to learn of Michael's mother being sick; please let us know what hospital she is at, so we can send her at least a card or some flowers! I hope she is feeling much better by the time you get this! Has there been any change in her condition, and do doctors expect her to recover from her stroke? Is Michael still in Lake Charles? Or is he back? Tell him if he needs anything, just have him call us! We'll get in touch sooner or later!
I loved the picture of the all-red aurora on your letter; but I can understand your reasonings behind the red aurora, especially if it happens to be a bright, blood-red one like the one in the picture. But I don't think the aurora had anything to do with your husband's mother falling ill; it's just one of those things that sometimes happens in life.
Our two children from Sri Lanka have been here for about a month already, and they have started to settle into our way of life. Their true personalities are starting to emerge, and little Arjun is a people-person while Rani is shy and reserved; but they are still both cute children who have wormed their way into our hearts! Arjun is healthy, but Rani has some physical issues from a head injury that she sustained during the deadly tsunamis; but doctors think, with physical therapy, she will be able to catch up, and they think she will fully recover. She was in a coma when I first met her, and doctors didn't hold much hope for her; but now she is alive and is now coming along quite beautifully. She is also learning English, and it's as though she has become an entirely different person from the very sick little girl I first saw in Sri Lanka!
Johnny and Barbara have returned from Alaska (they got back Saturday afternoon), and they are still recuperating from their trip. Both Johnny and Barbara are in bed, sleeping soundly; I can hear Johnny snoring from down the hall; he sounds like a little buzzsaw! It's too cute! LOL
I have still been writing; in fact, speaking of writing, my third book, "The Miracles Continue: The Sandusky Family Story, A Sequel" has just been published, and it will be available within the year. This now makes Book #3 for me. I also have submitted stories and articles to Parenting Magazine, Parents Magazine, Child Today Magazine, and Exceptional Child, but so far, I haven't heard anything about whether any of them are going to use my stories or articles. I also have been writing in my journal, and of course, I have been writing letter after letter! Seems that is all I do besides rearing my village LOL or working: WRITING, WRITING, and MORE writing!! Sheesh! LOL I am so far behind in my writing it isn't a DARN bit funny!
How is the weather up there in Anchorage? Are the auroras out in full force, or has it been too cloudy to view the auroras? Here it is cloudy some days, and sunny on others; but I am afraid the cold stuff is now history. We may have one or two good chilly nights ahead, but the TRUE cold stuff is over until next fall. The trees have exploded in leaves, and the grasses have greened up nicely; and the flowers are now in abundance; really pretty this time of year! We have already had some good springtime storms, but no damage here, thank goodness! Hope this trend continues!
I am happy to say that next week I get out of the back brace (FINALLY!), but I will have to use the cane until I feel stronger. Still have my moments where I tire out and feel weak; but as I recover more from my recent surgery, this shall pass, and I should be ready to do the Lambada or the Watusi! LOL Or maybe some dirty Cajun-style dancing! LOL (NOT really, but I WILL be able to move a lot better than I have in a very long time! LOL) I have been in very little pain, and it has been absolute HEAVEN!! I almost forgot what it was like to live WITHOUT pain, it's been too long since I haven't had ANY!! My sciatic nerve has been behaving itself, and now I can move a lot faster than I could; and it is a different experience for me! I can almost keep up with the kids! LOL I haven't used my electric cart or my wheelchair since the surgery, and I just feel GREAT!!
I am sorry to learn that you may have arthritis in your hip and jaw; arthritis is not fun. I can attest to that one, believe me!! So can my hubby and so can Ronee'!
Well, dearie, I have to go now, the buses are pulling up, so I have to get ready and greet my babies as they step inside the door! God bless you, and again, let me know if you need anything, and keep us up to date regarding Michael's mom! Give him a hug from us! Love you and miss you so much!

No wonder Louisiana is behind on her writing: with her massive brood, writing books, working, writing letters, it's a miracle she sleeps at all! :) Give the poor woman a well deserved rest. :)
