Dear Journal~
I am not doing too good. I have been depressed. School is going well enough, but I feel like I don't fit in, and some of the girls look at me and give me such dirty looks on their faces (or else they make fun of my Cajun French accent). The boys keep pinching me on my chest area, and it is enough to make me want to hide in the bathroom! I also don't like all this extra time for going from class to class; it is hard for me to keep up with the flow of students (unless I am using my wheelchair, that is), and I hate taking notes whenever my wrists or fingers are so sore! Sometimes my writing looks worse than chicken scrabble!
I also am depressed because of the way things are going for this country, and how people are blaming the President for stupid things. I am also angry about that stupid guy in California who is again fighting the Pledge of Allegience, trying to get the words "Under God" removed. I am just sick and tired of it all, and I wish people'd just back off and leave things alone!! I am so fed up at all of the bad news nowadays all I want to do is rear back my head, open my mouth, and SCREEEEEEEEEEEAM!!!!! Or I want to stick my head in the sand like some ostrich and HIDE!! It has gotten so bad nowadays I feel like I can no longer pray.
I also am depressed because Nicole and I are still not talking much, and she still seems distant. I am hoping deep in the crevasses of my mind that she will come to her senses and say at least "Hi" to me, but no, she is too busy hanging around with a group of girls I don't even know, and I don't like being excluded. I don't know what I may have done to jeopardize our friendship; I don't think I have done anything wrong!
In addition, we have some hurricane evacuees (spelling?) at our school, and I really feel bad for them. I want to befriend them, but I really don't know what to say, and I am afraid that I will end up doing or saying the wrong thing, so I just stay out of the way, and that really bothers me.
Mom is back from Mississippi, but she is busy taking care of hurricane evacuees at the hospital where she works, and she is thinking about taking in three kids (two boys and a girl) from New Orleans, Louisiana, into our home, until they can get back on their feet, and I don't know what they will be like. I won't know until I get to know them, but again, I am afraid I will end up making a total geek out of myself again (I do that sometimes, you know...). She has been sad lately too, and I think some of it has rubbed off on me.
I haven't been sick lately (KNOCK ON WOOD!), but I HAVE been depressed, and I don't know if it is because of my changing body or WHAT, but it is about to drive me BATZ!! The ONLY times I am ever happy nowadays is on Sunday and Wednesday, when I go to church, but then, a day later, I am back to my sad self again, and it is as though I have lost the joy and peace in my heart, and it is scaring me. All I want to do is curl up on my bed and CRY.
Please keep me in your prayers; I really can use them! Life is NOT good for me right now!!
~Love, your (sad) gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne. :( >tears<
