December 2, 2005, Anchorage, Alaska~

Dear Louisiana May~

You may not believe this, but I am stll alive (ha ha!). This is your friend, Jenna Aurora Doucet, in Anchorage, Alaska, writing.

I am sorry for not writing in so long, but I have been dealing with the anniversary of The Accident that left me (all the more) disabled (my gosh, it has already been two years since that horrible day!), and I had been doing an awful lot of crying and mourning--but then came the news just last week, news that has finally given me a sense of hope for happiness in my future! Guess what! I am PREGNANT!! I am going to have a BABY!! I found out on the day before Thanksgiving (one week ago this past Wednesday), and now I know why I have been so tremendously sick the past few weeks in the morning (and here I thought it was due to my stupid MS!!). I have been suffering from extreme nausea, skin problems, irregular breathing, headaches, and achy joints. It has NOT been a fun time for me!!

But Michael (the DEAR!) HAS been super throughout my ordeals, and he has been taking care of me (if he hasn't already done so!), and if there is one thing that I AM thankful for this holiday season, it is my hubby and his willingness to put up with me and all my medical problems! I am indeed blessed, and now I now that there IS a God! :)

I also have been going to college. Yes, I am going to school to try to better myself. I want to become a writer, and part of that decision is because of YOU. You write so well, and your books that you have sent to me have inspired me. I also have found a wonderful writer's site (Authorsden.com) that is a community of writers, writers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, and I am STILL trying to work up the courage to post a story or a poem (but am deathly afraid as to what they may think of my paltry writing skills; after all, I AM a newbie to this writing game other than writing letters or doing journals! LOL). You ought to check it out!

Michael and myself have also been considering of adopting a child with special needs--or maybe a child who has been neglected or abused. Again, Louie, you have been instrumental in this decision, and (MOST of the time) you have been very supportive of me. For that, I thank you wholeheartedly. I also thank you for introducing me to Jesus Christ and His Saving Grace an for praying for me, even when I have been so nasty-ugly towards you. You could have very easily walked away from me and my tirades, but no, you chose to stick by me, and for that I will be eternally grateful! :)

But enough about me (ha ha!)...How is the weather there in Tennessee? Here in Alaska, it is frigid, frigid, and it has been snowing heavily the past several days. I have been holed up in the apartment due to the hazardous weather conditions. I hope it is a LOT nicer there than it is here at the present time!

How are the children, and how is Bill? Tell them all hello (Jenna says, making the sign for "Hello!" LOL)! How has their health been? I hope they have been doing great! I sure do miss your beautiful Northern Lights Family!!

You already know that we are coming, right? We are coming down there for Christmas! We wil be flying into Nashville, Tennessee, on December 21, 2005, and we will go back home here to Anchorage, Alaska, on the 28th, exactly one week later. We will be coming in on Alaska Airlines, Flight #205, at five-thirty in the afternoon (barring delays or problems). We can't WAIT to see you guys, and there is nobody we would rather spend Christmas with than YOU! :)

Well, Sweetie-Pie, I will go now. I have bent your ear long enough, and my good working arm (and  hand) is about to fall off! *OW* LOL Do take care of yourselves, and God bless you always! Have a WONDERFUL holiday season, and--I can't WAIT to see you! *GIGGLE*
