Louisiana writes some more in her online journal. She is happy because her youngest child, Arjun Ravi, is out of the hospital.

Dear Journal~
I am happy today. My baby boy, Arjun, is out of the hospital! He is HOME! We picked him up just a little over an hour ago, and we are so glad to have him back with us! (Right now, he is sleeping comfortably in his crib.)
Arjun had been sick with respiratory syncytial virus, which primarily hits young children and babies under the age of two, and it was a scary time; he is doing so well now that the doctors released him from the hospital! Still, he IS on supplimental oxygen (the oxygen tank delivery people came yesterday and delivered the tanks, and also the oxygen tubing), and he IS on antibiotic therapy; so he isn't completely recovered just yet from his illness. I am just relieved that the worst is over for Arjun; it could have very easily been so much worse!
Yesterday was Valentine's Day. That meant making sure that the younger kids had their Valentine's Day cards and treats all ready to go with them by the time they stepped onto the school buses. The older kids didn't really have any treats or cookies, but they still enjoy Valentine's Day; after all, there COULD be a "secret admirer" that has their fancy on them! Romance could very well be in the offing! LOL For Valentine's Day, my dear sweet Babboo (Bill, my hubby) took me out to eat at Outback Steakhouse, and we then went to a movie. We saw a romantic comedy. It was okay, but the language and situations turned us off somewhat. Why can't they make a decent movie for adults who are incensed by sexual situations or bad language? If they can do it for kids, then not why adults? Not ALL adults like sex or bad language; I know I don't!!
The kids also gave me handmade Valentine's Day presents that they created with their own little hands; I shall treasure them always. The kids also made a HUGE Valentine's Day card for daddy and me, and they signed their names to the card. It was very pretty, and it was one of the biggest cards I had ever seen! It's no WONDER they had been acting so secretive for the past several days! :)
Well, we got another gold medal yesterday, in the men's downhill at the Olympics. People were predicting that Bode Miller of the U.S. would win; he surely seemed to be in gold medal contention; but then he crossed over a flag on the course and was, therefore, disqualified. But all wasn't lost: another U.S. skier, Scott Liggidy (I THINK that was his name!) came out of nowhere and won the gold medal. It was a fantastic finish to what seemed like a disaster for the U.S. men's downhillers. As for men's figure skating, another American man made waves with a spectacular performance in the men's short program, and he is second behind a Russian, who is slated to win the gold medal. (Hopefully THAT won't happen! I hope the U.S. shocks the HECK out of the Russians! It's about time, I'd say!!)
As for that female U.S. skier who fell a few days ago, she is out of the hospital, and she even SKIED yesterday. She was sore, but she still managed to finish the race. She didn't medal, but she came in eighth place. The women's hockey team was also victorious: they beat Finland 7-3 after Finland took an early lead. So yesterday, other than Bode Miller being disqualified, was a fairly good day for the U.S. Olympians! :) (Hope we have MORE of those days! :) )
I took the day off from work so we could be with Arjun upon his discharge from the hospital. I wanted to be close to him in case something would happen. With little ones like Arjun, they can get sick so fast, and it often catches one off guard if they aren't prepared for it. But so far, all is well with my baby boy, and for that, I am extremely grateful to God! :)
Well, not much is new here other than the Olympics and Arjun's being home from the hospital, so I will go now. I will get back to the laundry and then make something for Arjun when he awakens. Hopefully he will eat more than he has. He just hasn't had much of an appetite since becoming sick. Until later, Journal, this is Louie signing off! 'Bye for now!
A variety of things here. Good to see Arjun out of the hospital. Another Valentine's Day past. A lot of love to flow throughout this new year, and yes, we will make it through the Olympics and the medals will be keepsakes for all the athletes' hard work and training. Some will go on training for the next Olympics, some with get endorsements, some will follow through with sportscasting. Thanks for the letter today, Karen Lynn.
