Louisiana Sandusky in Tennessee reassures a friend in Alabama that she and her family made it through the latest round of severe weather.

Dear Coleman~
I am okay; thanks for all your prayers and concern! Your compassionate nature means a lot to me; it really does!
We made it through the latest round of severe weather that plagued Tennessee. We had very little in the way of damage to our place (mainly to our yard; trees, trees, and debris from surrounding houses, mostly, also some shingles from our roof), and we are blessed that it wasn't as worse as it could have been.
Ronee' (one of my children; she is now thirteen) did sustain some injuries as a direct result of the weather: she suffered a separated shoulder and a mild concussion that resulted in a good-sized bump on the back of her head. She fell while going downstairs, and she knocked herself out.
It scared us to see her lying so still and limp; we ended up having to call an ambulance, where she was then rushed to the hospital. (She awakened in the back of the ambulance, and she was admitted to the hospital for the night; the next day she got to go home.) She is still a bit sore, but at least the headaches, dizziness, and double vision have disappeared.
Coleman, it sounds like you are about as scared of storms as me. I sensed the panic in your letter, and that picture fits the bill perfectly. I have been wondering about the wwather msyelf, but I have since found out that it is due to La Nina, which is a cousin to El Nino, which causes extreme weather patterns across the U.S.A. I pray it eases soon...
To change the subject matter, what are you doing for Easter? We are going to have our annual Cantata at my church (Christ Community Assembly of God), and we will also be going to Fire Mountain afterwards for Easter lunch. We will then go back home and enjoy the rest of the day, where the kids'll have an Easter egg hunt and enjoy the treats that Bill and myself got for them. We will be having company from California; they are coming in a few days, and we are really excited about them coming! I hope you have a very safe, happy, and blessed Easter!
I have some good news concerning two of my friends: my friend in Smyrna, Georgia (Donna Sue Oliver) is going to be adopting two little girls (one from Vietnam, the other from Mexico) into her family, and another friend, who has three little boys, will be adding a fourth son to HER family. (The latter friend lives in South Dakota.) I am so happy for them both! God is working in mysterious ways, and I am loving every minute of it! :)
My son, Johnny, is excited: he has a girlfriend; she is the one who is coming to see us here in Tennessee. He has been writing to her for over a year now, and she has already told him that she loves him. Isn't that sweet? Rebekkah Cohen is 12 years old, and she is a Messionic Jew. (She believes in the Jewish way, but she also believes in Salvation and celebrates Christian-based holidays like Easter and Christmas.)
She has a little-understood disability 9pain insensitivity disorder), where she is unable to feel pain. Sometimes she gets infections because she burned or bumped herself, and she isn't aware of it until she gets sick.
She recently got out of the hospital. She had a very bad infection that resulted in the amputation of her leg. She has been having therapy, and she is now walking with the aid of crutches. She has a very good attitude,and I am sure that she will be good for Johnny.
Johnny needs a lot of positive reinforcment right now in his life: his muscular dystrophy has gotten worse, and there is more uncertainty in his life. He has to be turned over every few hours, and he has to be suctioned whenever he chokes. It is really scary: I keep seeing him lying in bed, unable to do anything for himself, and it just tears my heart to pieces! Please be praying for Johnny; he could really use a miracle about now!
My twin daugters (Camey and Tammi) and my daughter Barbara are all mad as wet hens: they all have to work on Sunday, and it is a requirement of their jobs or else they are fired (their bosses' words). I don't think it is right, and I don't think it is fair, especially since they had prvious plans. Now those plans have all but flown out the window, and I am mad too. I think it is wrong to have to work on an important holiday like Easter! I think ALL businesses should be closed on Easter! (Or on Christmas!)
