Dear Louisiana~
Wow, what exciting news you have shared with me today! What a little cutie; is that the child you are trying to adopt? He is precious beyond measure!
Thank you for writing; I am enjoying the book you sent! I have read over half of it, and it is hard to put down! I will probably finish the book before this weekend, the way things are looking now.
How is the weather there in Tennessee? Here it is partly sunny out with temps in the sixties, really pretty weather. We may get some storms by the weekend (Sunday afternoon), but the weather people don't think that they are going to be severe. I hope the weather there has been good!
I just remembered: you are not in Tennessee as I write this: you are probably in Louisiana. I forgot until just a little bit ago that you are going to a crawfish festival. I hope that you have fun there. I have never been to Louisiana, but I would love to go. I love Cajun music, and I love Cajun food! (Have some Cajun food for me, and dance a Cajun dance for me, okay?? *grins*)
The rains have moved on as I said earlier, and the children are outside in the front yard playing. They are playing with the new neighbors, the Escamillas, who moved here from Texas a few months back, and they appear to be very nice people. The neighbors we had before the Escamillas were not friendly at all: they kept to themselves, and they were an older couple, retired, and they hated kids. They were always yelling at me to tell the children to shut up (their exact words), they were quite rude.
Maybe it is best that they ARE gone. They made my life a living hell.
Well, I am in the middle of cooking supper and doing laundry, so I must go now. The buzzer on the washer just sounded; must transfer the clothes to the dryer before they wrinkle. Take care, and God bless!

I had never seen anything like the storms I witnessed in Texas last summer, until last night, when we had the mother and father of all storms to hit Glasgow..:)
It was absolutely glorious and spectacular, with monsoon rains and flooding !
