Dear Journal~

Hi! This is your friend Louisiana Sandusky writing.

I am excited: I just found out from our adoption counselor that the littel boy we are adopting will be arriving in approximately one month from Russia, just as soon as the last of the paperwork (and the clearance from the doctors) is in order. Soon, very soon, little Vlademir Aleksander will be joining our International Family of Miracles, and he will become our Fifty-Fourth Child!

This is an answer to prayer--no, it is more than that: it is a Miracle in the Making, and it is yet another Sign of God's Provisions in our lives as parents. He has seen to bringing us the most hopeless, the most heartbreaking, the most neediest of children into our lives, and He has seen to us to become their parents. We have enjoyed every minute as parents to these wonderful Children of God, and even though there have been plenty of bumps and bruises along the way, the journey has  been worth everything you can imagine--and much more!

I am sure that little Vlademir is wondering what is going to happen to him, but I am certain that he knows that something very big is coming up in his young life. Soon, and very soon he will be coming to America, and he will be getting the family he so needs to help in his development and well-being.

I am not so sure as to what his mental or physical abilities are, but Vlady is in a wheelchair, and it is reported that he is quite spastic and does not talk. He is a very beautiful little boy with red hair and blue eyes, and he reminds me of Benjamin when he was younger. (Benjamin is now four, and he is growing like a weed. At four he looks more like a seven year old, and he is very smart.)

Already the children are talking to their friends about their "new little brother, Vlademir", and they have already accepted him even before he has even ARRIVED here. They are excited about his impending arrival, and they are already keeping tabs on their calendars to the day when Vlady is scheduled to come (June 15, just before we go to Mexico on our cruise). They have his picture on their billboards in their rooms, and they talk to him every night in their prayers, asking God to keep him safe until he comes to be with the family.

It is wonderful to know that we will have another boy to love and call our own, and it is wonderful to see the way God is moving in our lives! God is indeed good, and He is worthy of our praises!
