Dear Louie~
I am probably grasping for straws here, but I do think it is high time you have writen me a letter. It has been a very long time since I last heard from you, and I have been thinking about you, wondering how you have been.
Hopefully, everything is okay there. Things here are well. I am still happily married to my husband, Doug, and the boys are now one year older. They are now 9, 7, 5, and 2, and they are all growing like weeds.
I also have been going to church. My husband and I both made the life-altering decision to accept Christ, and ever since then, life for us has turned 180 degrees. Things are so much better, and God is blessing us like you won't believe! I don't know why we didn't make this decision sooner! We were stupid to believe that we didn't need Christ in our lives; it turns out that we do!
How are your children? Have you adopted any more, or are there any more children in your future that we don't know about? Lord knows, you have an already big enough family with fifty-million kids! LOL I am glad, though, that you took them into your home and hearts; kids with special needs need just as much love as kids who aren't special needs! :)
You will have to send us a recent photo of yourself; I bet any trip to the photography studio is an adventure, both on your and the photographer's part! LOL
Have you written any more books? I love the ones you sent me; I still read them, and I get blessed each and every time! To think of some of the things your kids had to endure before they ended up at your door--sheesh! Kids can be cruel, but so can adults, and so can society in general.
I have written a book about our family called "Wanted: Lots of Children To Love!: An Adoptive Mother's Journey". It is due out any time, and when I get a copy, I will be sure to send you one. I think you will enjoy it.
I have also written a book (poetry) about the experience of adoption, and I have included one about your family. I entitled it "Love Knows No Limits: The Sandusky Family". I think you will like it; I really enjoyed writing it! (I am sending you a copy of that next week; be on the lookout for it in the mail sometime the week after!)
How is the weather there? Here it is an ugly, grey, cloudy day out; we may get rain later, with a chance of thunderstorms. Great. The boys are terrified of thunder, especially the two youngest, so I know I will be getting little sleep tonight. *Sighhhh* Hopefully the weather there is much nicer!
Well, Louie, this is all that is new here. I will write again; I hope to hear from you soon. I miss your bright, cheery, chatty letters!
