A six word short story. I plan on expanding on the tale later.
The Mice had little red eyes that seemed to pierce through the passerby's, begging to be rescued. Glancing through the shop window, customers saw a fat, balding man sitting behind the counter; picking each mouse up by the tale, his mouth was curled up at the edges with this sadistic grin. Just then, around the counter a little girl appeared, hopping and jumping with joy as her mother handed the shopkeeper some money. Suddenly a large brown bull snake hissed, striking the tank, causing the little girl to hesitate, but only for a moment. As the mouse nibbled an apple treat, little fingers stroked the furry little creatures in the box. The scent of bubblegum and Cheetos filled the air, sending the mice into an dreamy state of endemic bliss.
Interesting...attention grabbing, would love to see more. I like snakes, but would never have one for a pet that was big enough to have to feed mice to. Poor little mice. Elizabeth
I'm hoping for a conclusion of this, Larry. I don't mind mice, they can be gentle if you feed and tend to them; but I don't care much at all for any type of snake - wouldn't harm one, but wouldn't encourage their staying around :o)
