Dear Ronee' Le-Anne~

What a wonderful surprise to get your letter! You sound like a kid who has a good head on her shoulders! Good for you; be proud of who you are! That is the only way to go!

To tell you a little bit about myself, Ronee', I am a native Texan: born here, lived here all my life (even have the Texas twang to back that claim! LOL). I live near Fort Worth, just north, in the city of Denton. I did work, but my RA got bad, and now I get disability pay every month. It's better than nothing, I guess, but I miss working; I miss the camraderie between people and dealing with customers. I also have lupus erythematosus (LE), which causes me even more problems. I guess I am better off than a lot of people: at least I can walk!

Like you, Ronee', I, too, love country music. That is neat that you perform. How long have you been singing, and who is your favorite singer? My favorite singer is Reba McEntire; I just love her! (Have you met Reba? If so, is she nice? She seems to be!)

Besides listening to country music, I love to write letters, read, draw, paint, write poems (I am a very creative-minded person!), and travel. Lately, though, my health has kept me homebound, so I spend a lot of time on the computer, where I write to your mother (and other friends). I put my stories and poems on a site called Authorsden; have you ever heard of it? If not, you should check it out, especially since you love to write! The web addy for it is www.authorsden.com.

Don't worry about the kids teasing you. Just walk away from them and ignore them. They don't know any better! They're just jealous! I know it's hard, Ronee', but you would only show weakness if you let their teasing get to you! You seem like a very strong person!

Would you mind if you sent me a picture of yourself? I would like to see what you look like!  I bet you are very pretty! I'm sending you a picture of myself that was taken last month around Christmastime.  Enjoy!

I am going to go now. I will write again later on when my health is behaving. Right now, I am not having a good day: my hips, shoulders, and knees are really hurting! Cold front on the way, body lets me know these things. Take care, Ronee', and God bless!

P.S.: I put a picture of a kitty on your letter because you seem to love cats! Do you have a cat? If so, what is his (or her) name, and what kind of cat is she? I have a cat, and her name is "Wiggles". She is a Maine Coon, but she is all black, very furry, and is a love!
