Dear Kendra Mae~
Hey, there! Thanks for your letter; it was good to hear from you! I hope and pray that all is well with you and your family! We are all well, thank the Lord! Other than Ronee' having a flare up of her JRA and Johnny having a spell with his heart last month, we've managed to stay (reasonably) healthy!
Kendra, I do hope you and the children can come to Tennessee; we'd love to have you! We miss you! Maybe we can come out to California later this year; would you like that? Let us know!
That is sad that Rebekkah Cohen is having more problems with her balance; that had to be scary for her to fall and then undergo scary tests at the hospital! As for Susie Jackson, I was dismayed to learn that she has MD and is starting to have problems with her breathing. Audrey, Rick, Lacey, and Maria must be beside themselves with worry; I will have to pray for them; they need a Miracle!
Johnny wrote to Rebekkah over the weekend; she should hear from him sometime this week. I see she wrote to Ronee'; Ronee' will write to her this week, too. Johnny (and Ronee') have both been worried about her; and they miss her so!
Well, how is the weather there? Here in Tennessee, it is sunny, a pretty day. I am, however, stuck inside at work; I work today through Friday, then am off Saturday and Sunday. I work every other weekend, as well as holidays, but that is okay: I love helping people in need, and nothing makes me happier than bringing them some relief or hope from their suffering! People are vulnerable when they don't feel good; they need a sense of compassion! I work on holidays, too: Christmas, Thanksgiving, July 4th: it doesn't matter. People get sick even during holidays. Sickness, like myself, doesn't take holidays off!
Aas you can probably surmise, I am on break: I go back at 11:19. I am sitting in the cafeteria, munching on meatloaf, a (plain) baked potato, tomato- , lettuce- , and cucumber salad, and, for dessert, apple cobbler. *Yummo!* I'm also drinking a "cuppa" (Louisiana-style chickory coffee; I gotta' have my Community coffee! *grins*). I get off at two, then I wrestle with the children, making sure they do their homework assignments, shuttling them to doctor's (or dentist's) appointments, sporting events/games, voice or music lesssons, and the like, before coming back home to make supper several hours later (that is, if hubby Bill doesn't beat me to it first!). Then we eat as one, spend time in prayer (or Bible study), watch TV or talk, read or play games, and then get the kids off to bed. Bill and I then have perhaps an hour or two to ourselves before I hit the hay at 10/10:30 (then I am up before the sun: it isn't unusual for me to wake up at 3 or 4 each morning!). It is like this every day (or just about every day!).
Of course, this doesn't count the times I'm working on my writing or spending time at the hospital visiting sick family members or friends. Then my time is decidedly different.
Well, Kendra, I will let you go. Take care, and God bless! I will write another day! Love you!
~As always, your Tn. friend, Louie May. :D
P.S.: Tell Audrey I'll write soon! Tell her congratulations on the addition of young Emily to her family! I know how it is to parent a child with ADHD: Johnny has it, as does Camey. So does Roberto! Sheer energy: that is how it is with these kids! YIKES!!
Southern folksy-ness invites the reader to sit down with Louisiana and share a little of her life; heartwarming excellence and compassion in story form! Well done!
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
