Tottie writes some more in her journal. She is still coping with the loss of her leg and is still missing her home back in Australia.

Dear Journal~
Tottie again. I felt like writing some more in this little journal; have so much anger, so much pain, so much bitterness over what's happened to me. I am about to go mad with boredom!
All I do it seems is go to physsie therapy to be stretched, manipulated, tortured by the terrorists; I don't know why they even bother. All they do is inflict pain and suffering on this poor old gal's body! How much can a body take?
I don't know why this happened to me, but I want to go back home. I miss me chums, me family, me cats. I have three cats, all tabbies (two Maine Coons named "Chumley" and "Crackers"--he loves crackers; it's the strangest thing!--, and one shorthair tabby named "Gadabout"). I miss me job, and I wonder if I will be able to go back to work when I return home.
Somehow I doubt it. How am I going to work with only one leg??
The weather back home has been dreadful. Oh, the sun is nice and all, but we are in the midst of a terrible drought; we are in desperate need for measurable rainfall. Fires everywhere, animals dying, food prices going through the roof--it's scary! I wonder if me place is still standing, if it's burned up by the fires--God, I hate worrying like this! It isn't going to do me recovery any good!
I called me mum last night before bedtime; I cried. I was missing her so bad! I wish they'd come to see me; I could really use some company!
Well, I will sign off now. Time to eat me brekkie; am hungry. Let's see if it stays down this morning; I am tired of doing technicoloured yawns!

Poor Tottie, homesick for her country and unable to go home. She has a long road ahead of her. I love how you bring the charaters to life!
Of all the ones that you have written I love this series the best, it is totally real, the descriptive use is done well, great lines (technicolored yawns) love it. All that is missing is for to have a young intern take a liking to her for some illicit midningt chats and a kiss or two.
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
